6d7b4e049e Compositor: Refactor backdrop offset
This patch refactors the backdrop offset to be stored as a float instead
of an int and to be stored in the image runtime structure instead of the
image itself.

e955c94ed3 License Headers: Set copyright to "Blender Authors", add AUTHORS
Listing the "Blender Foundation" as copyright holder implied the Blender
Foundation holds copyright to files which may include work from many
developers.

While keeping copyright on headers makes sense for isolated libraries,
Blender's own code may be refactored or moved between files in a way
that makes the per file copyright holders less meaningful.

Copyright references to the "Blender Foundation" have been replaced with
"Blender Authors", with the exception of `./extern/` since these this
contains libraries which are more isolated, any changed to license
headers there can be handled on a case-by-case basis.

Some directories in `./intern/` have also been excluded:

- `./intern/cycles/` it's own `AUTHORS` file is planned.
- `./intern/opensubdiv/`.

An "AUTHORS" file has been added, using the chromium projects authors
file as a template.

c1bc70b711 Cleanup: Add a copyright notice to files and use SPDX format
A lot of files were missing copyright field in the header and
the Blender Foundation contributed to them in a sense of bug
fixing and general maintenance.

This change makes it explicit that those files are at least
partially copyrighted by the Blender Foundation.

Note that this does not make it so the Blender Foundation is
the only holder of the copyright in those files, and developers
who do not have a signed contract with the foundation still
hold the copyright as well.

Another aspect of this change is using SPDX format for the
header. We already used it for the license specification,
and now we state it for the copyright as well, following the
FAQ:

9477ab65a4 ImageEngine: Improve Performance and Quality.
Blender 3.5 has a performance regression in the image engine
that made the image engine 3-4x slower then 3.4. The cause of
this was the new way how panning was implemented.

This PR disables the new panning for now as a short term fix.
In the future the panning and improvements we did ensured
better performance when dealing with higher resolution images.
But the regression for regular images weren't acceptable.

This fix might introduce other performance regressions on
lower end systems.

In the future we still want to improve the performance to
get back to Blender 3.0 performance, but that requires more
work and has a different priority.

8bfe34b285 Fullframe compositor: support backdrop offset for viewer node
Translating an image in fullframe compositor now also translates
the backdrop image for the viewer node.

Attached gif shows the behavior. Notice how gizmo moves with correct
values with the image but the frame stays to indicate what will get
rendered.

Note: This patch is a continuation of [D12750]
(https://archive.blender.org/developer/D12750). In a previous patch,
display offset on screen was not computed correctly. This has now
been fixed.

33c30af742 Cleanup: comments in struct declarations
Use a consistent style for declaring the names of struct members
in their declarations. Note that this convention was already used in
many places but not everywhere.

Remove spaces around the text (matching commented arguments) with
the advantage that the the spell checking utility skips these terms.
Making it possible to extract & validate these comments automatically.

Also use struct names for `bAnimChannelType` & `bConstraintTypeInfo`
which were using brief descriptions.

c20e456ee0 ImageEngine: Reduce memory size by dividing the region in smaller parts.
Image engine uses 4 gpu textures that are as large as the area being
drawn. The amount of needed GPU memory can be reduced by dividing the
region in smaller parts. Reducing the GPU memory also reduces the stalls
when updating the textures, improving the performance as well.

This optimization works, but is disabled for now due to some rounding
errors that drawn lines on the screen where the screen is divided.

2ffc9b72ad Draw: Improve performance image engine.
Image engine is used to draw the image inside the image editor, uv editor and node editor. The
performance during scrolling wasn't smooth when using larger textures on a dedicated GPU. Main
reason was the data transfers that happens when panning the image.

The original idea of the image engine was to have 4 textures that are as large as the editor.
Those textures would be used to simulate a larger canvas where if the texture is out of the
visible area the texture would be reused to contain the data of a new visible area. This would
reduce the data transfers to only on certain x/y coordinates. Between those coordinates no
data transfers would be needed.

This patch implements the mechanism described above. During development other areas to
improve have been detected (incorrect color management for float textures, using different
image formats to reduce data transfer bandwidths, using different render techniques for
images upto 8k). More improvements will follow.

33409f9f1c Compositor: Support backdrop offset for the Viewer node
This is only part of the experimental "Full Frame" mode (disabled
by default). See T88150.

Currently the viewer node uses buffer paddings to display image offset
in the backdrop as a temporal solution implemented for {D12466}.
This solution is inefficient memory and performance-wise. Another
issue is that the paddings are part the image when saved.

This patch instead sets the offset in the Viewer node image
as variables and makes the backdrop take it into account
when drawing the image or any related gizmo.

While most of the source tree has been included

- `./extern/` was left out.

cfa235b89d Image Editor: Fix background drawing of empty tiles.
Empty (UDIM) tiles where drawn with a transparency checkerboard. They
should be rendered with a border background. The cause is that the image
engine would select a single area that contained all tiles and draw them
as being part of an image.

The fix is to separate the color and depth part of the image engine
shader and only draw the depths of tiles that are enabled.

bdd74e1e93 DrawManager: Image engine support huge images.
Adding better support for drawing huge images in the image/uv editor. Also solved tearing artifacts.
The approach is that for each image/uv editor a screen space gpu texture is created that only contains
the visible pixels. When zooming or panning the gpu texture is rebuild.

Although the solution isn't memory intensive other parts of blender memory usage scales together with
the image size.

* Due to complexity we didn't implement partial updates when drawing images tiled (wrap repeat).
This could be added, but is complicated as a change in the source could mean many different
changes on the GPU texture. The work around for now is to tag all gpu textures to be dirty when
  changes are detected.

Original plan was to have 4 screen space images to support panning without gpu texture creation.
For now we don't see the need to implement it as the solution is already fast. Especially when
GPU memory is shared with CPU ram.

b069218a55 DrawManager: Engine Instance Data.
In the original design draw engines had to copy with a limitation that
they were not allowed to reuse complex data structures between drawing
calls. Data that could be reused were limited to:
- GPUFramebuffers
- GPUTextures
- Memory that could be removed calling MEM_freeN (storage list)
- DRWPass

This is fine when the storage list contains arrays or structs but when
more complex data types (vectors, maps) etc wasn't possible.

This patch adds instance_data that can be reused between drawing calls.
The instance_data is controlled by the draw engine and doesn't need to
be limited as described above.

When an engines stores instance_data it must implement the
`DrawEngineType.instance_free` callback to free the data.

The patch originates from eevee rewrite. But was added to master as the
image engine rewrite also has a need for it.

32c90d2d7c Cleanup: Split image engine into ImageEngine, SpaceAccessor and DrawingMode.
Image engine is used to draw an image into a space. The current
structure wasn't clear and couldn't be easilly extended. This refactor
spliced the image draw engine into 3 main components.

- Space accessors: contains an interface to communicate with space data
(Image editor, UV Editor, Node Editor) in a common way. This reduced
the branching in the code base.
- DrawingMode: contains an interface to the used tactic to draw an image
  inside the space framebuffer. Currently only one mode is implemented;
in the future there could be a separate drawing mode for huge images.
- ImageEngine: the core that connects the draw manager with the space
  data and drawing mode.
