- Use FunctionRef to avoid passing a separate user_data pointer
- Use std::string in arguments struct
- Add search items in one loop after gathering search items
- Use Vector of unique_ptr for search items instead of linked list

  Writing Style guide).
- "Bezier" -> "Bézier": proper spelling of the eponym.
- Tool keymaps: make "Uv" all caps.

- Use MULTIPLICATION SIGN U+00D7 instead of MULTIPLICATION X U+2715.
- "LClick" -> "LMB", "RClick" -> "RMB": this convention is used
  everywhere else.
- "Save rendered the image..." -> "Save the rendered image...": typo.
- "Preserve Current retiming": title case for property.

0618de49ad Cleanup: Replace MIN/MAX macros with C++ functions
Use `std::min` and `std::max` instead. Though keep MIN2 and MAX2
just for C code that hasn't been moved to C++ yet.

904b572487 Fix #116807: Crash for large multidimensional bpy property default value
The functions for creating bpy vector properties used fixed size
`default_value` arrays on the stack. The array was not large enough to
store all the default values for larger multidimensional properties,
which would write past the end of the array and start corrupting the
stack, leading to crashes.

The maximum total length of a bpy vector property is 32768 (32x32x32)
which is a little large of an array to be putting on the stack, so the
`default_value` array now uses `blender::Array` and allocates additional
memory if the number of `default_value` elements exceeds its inline
buffer size of 64.

To simplify allocating arrays of the correct size,
#bpy_prop_array_length_parse now fills in `array_len_info->len_total`
when parsing a sequence.

b5c89822ac RNA: return PointerRNA from rna create functions
There are a couple of functions that create rna pointers. For example
`RNA_main_pointer_create` and `RNA_pointer_create`. Currently, those
take an output parameter `r_ptr` as last argument. This patch changes
it so that the functions actually return a` PointerRNA` instead of using
the output parameters.

This has a few benefits:
* Output parameters should only be used when there is an actual benefit.
Otherwise, one should default to returning the value.
* It's simpler to use the API in the large majority of cases (note that this
patch reduces the number of lines of code).
* It allows the `PointerRNA` to be const on the call-site, if that is desired.

No performance regression has been measured in production files.
If one of these functions happened to be called in a hot loop where
there is a regression, the solution should be to use an inline function
there which allows the compiler to optimize it even better.

a6837ac517 PyAPI: support building with the up-coming Python 3.12
- Account for new member in _PyArg_Parser.

- Many Python op-codes have been removed.
For the moment these are disabled in is_opcode_secure.
Some should be added back as intrinsics, noted in code-comments.

09f61f6881 Cleanup: enforce documented convention for RNA enum naming
This was noted in code comments and checked in Python documentation
generation but not at build time.

Since these enums are identifiers that end up included in various places
enforce the `rna_enum_*_items` convention which was noted as
the convention but not followed strictly.

Partially reverts [0], avoids having to deal with multiple prefix types.

e955c94ed3 License Headers: Set copyright to "Blender Authors", add AUTHORS
Listing the "Blender Foundation" as copyright holder implied the Blender
Foundation holds copyright to files which may include work from many
developers.

While keeping copyright on headers makes sense for isolated libraries,
Blender's own code may be refactored or moved between files in a way
that makes the per file copyright holders less meaningful.

Copyright references to the "Blender Foundation" have been replaced with
"Blender Authors", with the exception of `./extern/` since these this
contains libraries which are more isolated, any changed to license
headers there can be handled on a case-by-case basis.

Some directories in `./intern/` have also been excluded:

- `./intern/cycles/` it's own `AUTHORS` file is planned.
- `./intern/opensubdiv/`.

An "AUTHORS" file has been added, using the chromium projects authors
file as a template.

08a8825827 Cleanup: use actual function type instead of void* in declaration
This updates the signature of `RNA_def_property_update_runtime`
which previously just has a `const void *` input. This made it difficult
to know what function signature is expected and also does not result
in compile errors when a wrong function is provided.

There is one case which required a different signature, so now there
is a separat function for that case.
