59b4842117 Cycles: Adaptive subdivision triangular patches
There is a corner case where one side of a quad needs splitting and the other
side has only one segment. Previously this would produce either gaps or after
recent changes to stitch together geometry, uninitialized memory.

Now solve this by splitting into triangular patches, as suggested in the
DiagSplit paper. These triangular patches can be further subdivided themselves.
Dicing has special cases for 1 or 2 segments on edges. For more segments it
works the same as: quad dicing: A regular inner triangle grid stitched to the
outer edges.

c448bf16e5 Cycles: Multithread adaptive subdivision dicing
* Perform attribute interpolation as part of dicing.
* Remove temporary subd uv and face index attributes.

On a MacBook M3 with 12 P-cores and 4 E-cores, these changes overall give
a 10x-14x speedup on various scenes. Note that splitting is still single
threaded and can be expensive, and UV subdivision can be optimized more.

07b60c189b Cycles: Perform attribute subdivision on the host side
* Add SubdAttributeInterpolation class for linear attribute interpolation.
* Dicing computes ptex UV and face ID for interpolation.
* Simplify mesh storage of subd primitive counts
* Remove kernel code for subd attribute interpolation
* Remove patch table packing and upload

The old optimization adds a fair amount of complexity to the kernel, affecting
performance even when not using the feature. It's also not that useful as it
does not work for UVs that needs special interpolation. With this simpler code
it should be easier to make it feature complete.

c434782e3a File headers: SPDX License migration

much space.

Follow the SPDX license specification: https://spdx.org/licenses

- Python
- Shell Scripts
- CMake, GNUmakefile

While most of the source tree has been included

- `./extern/` was left out.
- `./intern/cycles` & `./intern/atomic` are also excluded because they
  use different header conventions.

doc/license/SPDX-license-identifiers.txt has been added to list SPDX all
used identifiers.

fd25e883e2 Cycles: remove prefix from source code file names
Remove prefix of filenames that is the same as the folder name. This used
to help when #includes were using individual files, but now they are always
relative to the cycles root directory and so the prefixes are redundant.

For patches and branches, git merge and rebase should be able to detect the
renames and move over code to the right file.

31a620b942 Cycles API: encapsulate Node socket members
This encapsulates Node socket members behind a set of specific methods;
as such it is no longer possible to directly access Node class members
from exporters and parts of Cycles.

The methods are defined via the NODE_SOCKET_API macros in `graph/
node.h`, and are for getting or setting a specific socket's value, as
well as querying or modifying the state of its update flag.

The setters will check whether the value has changed and tag the socket
as modified appropriately. This will let us know how a Node has changed
and what to update, which is the first concrete step toward a more
granular scene update system.

Since the setters will tag the Node sockets as modified when passed
different data, this patch also removes the various modified methods
on Nodes in favor of Node::is_modified which checks the sockets'
update flags status.

697fd86506 Cycles: Stitching of subdivided and displaced meshes
This patch stitches the vertices along patch edges so that cracks can
no longer form when applying subdivision or displacement a mesh.

Subpatches are now formed in a way that ensures vertex indices along
subpatch edges are equal for adjacent subpatches. A mapping of vertices
along patch edges is built to preform stitching. Overall performance is
roughly the same, some gains were made in splitting, but some was lost
in stitching.

This fixes:
- T49049 (cracks between patches from material and uv seams)
- T49048 (discontinuous normals with true displacement)
