c58d48d25f Assets: tag a brush for unsaved changes when its texture changes
Sort of a followup to d177388979

Resolves the limitation mentioned there "A known limitation with this
will be that changes to dependencies won't be indicated in the brush.
E.g. Changing the texture attached to a brush won't make
the brush be indicated as changed."

Part of #136895

Does not fully fix the report though, seems like deleting/relinking the
brush in `asset_reload` still need to do additional stuff to properly
revert the brush textures.

2131ef0a20 DRW: Use depsgraph update count to replace view_update
This avoid having to flush explicitely and the need for syncing.
It also removes a lot of complexity in the process.

These updates are not granular and do not need to so much
boiler plate code.

The depsgraph update counter now becomes atomic to avoid
undefined behavior when a depsgraph is being destroyed and
its memory reused (same thinking as the non-copy-on-eval IDs).

I tested some use cases (object update, sculpt update,
shading update) and they are all working.

684fd4643a Nodes: use BKE_main_ensure_invariants directly instead of ED_node_tree_propagate_change
`BKE_main_ensure_invariants` was added in 1fae5fd8f6. The older
`ED_node_tree_propagate_change` was already implemented as a thin wrapper around
`BKE_main_ensure_invariants`. This patch removes the wrapper and calls the more
general function directly.

A new overload of `BKE_main_ensure_invariants` is added for the common case when
only a single data-block has been modified.

038159e96b Refactor: Nodes: improve node tree update API
Main goals of this refactor:
* Make it more obvious which update function should be used.
* Make it more obvious which parameters are required by using references instead
  of pointers.
* Support passing in multiple modified trees instead of just a single one.

No functional changes are expected.

db7ff834c9 Refactor: Nodes: remove context argument from propagation function
The part that used the context does not seem to be necessary anymore. If the
given tree has any update tag set, the same notifiers will be sent anyway by the
`tree_changed_fn` callback.

If it turns out that we are now missing some notifier, then we have to change
the caller. It either has to call the proper `BKE_ntree_update_tag_*` function,
or create the notifier directly.

This change helps to generalize the concept of propagating changes in original
data, because the context is rarely available.

a641001207 Fix: UI previews don't refresh outside of properties editor
The preview template (`UILayout.template_preview()`) to display previews
for materials, textures or similar would only work correctly in the
Properties editor. This had explicit logic to trigger rerendering on
changes. When displaying such previews elsewhere (e.g. in the 3D View
sidebar), the only way to have changes reflected would be by resizing
the preview.

This fix makes sure such previews are tagged as dirty and refreshed on
changes to the underlying ID. We do this the same way as tagging the ID
previews as dirty, through a function called by the dependency graph for
such updates.

d177388979 Sculpt/Paint: Tag brushes for unsaved changes for UI indication
Part of the brush assets project followups, see #116337.

Based on feedback, it seems important to indicate to the user when a brush has
unsaved changes.

There's no reliable updating mechanism we can use or hook into here, except for
RNA "update" callbacks. Brush data gets changed in many places in code, the only
way to do this seems manual tagging every time a brush property gets changed.
This PR introduces `BKE_brush_tag_unsaved_changes()` for this. I spent some time
going through all brush properties to ensure changes call the tagging function.

A known limitation with this will be that changes to dependencies won't be
indicated in the brush. E.g. Changing the texture attached to a brush won't make
the brush be indicated as changed.

The UI to indicate the changed brushes is being discussed still, see #128846.

1c322889fd Refactor: Consistent WM jobs API; avoid function pointers as identifiers
Basically this tries to make the API to stop and kill jobs more explicit &
consistent, so intent is expressed clearly & behavior as expected.

- Remove use of the job start callback address as identifier for the job.
6887dea786 already removed this pattern from the jobs system internals, this
commit also removes it from the API.
- Make stop & kill API and implementation consistent. E.g. don't stop/kill jobs
by either owner **or** type/callback in one function, and by owner (if
provided) **and** type/callback in another. Causes some small behavior
  changes, documented inline.
- Use the same job type and API for all preview render jobs (change by Brecht).
There doesn't seem to be a need for the separated types, in fact the
separation might have caused some issues earlier (and added code complexity).
- Add/improve function documentation.

This does actually have subtle behavior changes that are known, see PR, but
they were investigated carefully and seem like implementing wanted behavior.

81a63153d0 Despgraph: Rename "copy-on-write" to "copy-on-evaluation"
The depsgraph CoW mechanism is a bit of a misnomer. It creates an
evaluated copy for data-blocks regardless of whether the copy will
actually be written to. The point is to have physical separation between
original and evaluated data. This is in contrast to the commonly used
performance improvement of keeping a user count and copying data
implicitly when it needs to be changed. In Blender code we call this
"implicit sharing" instead. Importantly, the dependency graph has no
idea about the _actual_ CoW behavior in Blender.

Renaming this functionality in the despgraph removes some of the
confusion that comes up when talking about this, and will hopefully
make the depsgraph less confusing to understand initially too. Wording
like "the evaluated copy" (as opposed to the original data-block) has
also become common anyway.

e955c94ed3 License Headers: Set copyright to "Blender Authors", add AUTHORS
Listing the "Blender Foundation" as copyright holder implied the Blender
Foundation holds copyright to files which may include work from many
developers.

While keeping copyright on headers makes sense for isolated libraries,
Blender's own code may be refactored or moved between files in a way
that makes the per file copyright holders less meaningful.

Copyright references to the "Blender Foundation" have been replaced with
"Blender Authors", with the exception of `./extern/` since these this
contains libraries which are more isolated, any changed to license
headers there can be handled on a case-by-case basis.

Some directories in `./intern/` have also been excluded:

- `./intern/cycles/` it's own `AUTHORS` file is planned.
- `./intern/opensubdiv/`.

An "AUTHORS" file has been added, using the chromium projects authors
file as a template.

b8eb7d18e9 Nodes: experimental node previews in the shader editor
First implementation of node previews in the shader node editor. Using
the same user interface as compositor node previews, most shader nodes
can now be previewed (except group in/output and material output).

This is currently still an experimental feature, as polishing of the
user experience and performance improvements are planned. These will
be easier to do as incremental changes on this implementation.

See #110353 for details on the work that remains to be done and known
limitations.

Implementation notes:

We take advantage of the `RenderResult` available as `ImBuf` images to
store a `Render` for every viewed nested node tree present in a
`SpaceNode`. The computation is initiated at the moment of drawing nodes
overlays.

One render is started for the current nodetree, having a `ViewLayer`
associated with each previewed node. We separate the previewed nodes in
two categories: the shader ones and the non-shader ones.
- For non-shader nodes, we use AOVs which highly speed up the rendering
process by rendering every non-shader nodes at the same time. They are
  rendered in the first `ViewLayer`.
- For shader nodes, we render them each in a different `ViewLayer`, by
rerouting the node to the output of the material in the preview scene.

The preview scene takes the same aspect as the Material preview scene,
and the same preview object is used.

At the moment of drawing the node overlay, we take the `Render` of the
viewed node tree and extract the `ImBuf` of the wanted viewlayer/pass
for each previewed node.

c1bc70b711 Cleanup: Add a copyright notice to files and use SPDX format
A lot of files were missing copyright field in the header and
the Blender Foundation contributed to them in a sense of bug
fixing and general maintenance.

This change makes it explicit that those files are at least
partially copyrighted by the Blender Foundation.

Note that this does not make it so the Blender Foundation is
the only holder of the copyright in those files, and developers
who do not have a signed contract with the foundation still
hold the copyright as well.

Another aspect of this change is using SPDX format for the
header. We already used it for the license specification,
and now we state it for the copyright as well, following the
FAQ:

a12a8a71bb Remove "All Rights Reserved" from Blender Foundation copyright code
The goal is to solve confusion of the "All rights reserved" for licensing
code under an open-source license.

The phrase "All rights reserved" comes from a historical convention that
required this phrase for the copyright protection to apply. This convention
is no longer relevant.

However, even though the phrase has no meaning in establishing the copyright
it has not lost meaning in terms of licensing.

This change makes it so code under the Blender Foundation copyright does
not use "all rights reserved". This is also how the GPL license itself
states how to apply it to the source code:

<one line to give the program's name and a brief idea of what it does.>
    Copyright (C) <year> <name of author>

This program is free software ...

This change does not change copyright notice in cases when the copyright
is dual (BF and an author), or just an author of the code. It also does
mot change copyright which is inherited from NaN Holding BV as it needs
some further investigation about what is the proper way to handle it.

c3ca487498 Render: Propagate view updates to draw engines
Currently, draw engines are not notified of view updates if a render
engine is active and was updated. It is unclear why this is the case
currently, but this behavior was part of the initial commit.

This patch propagates view updates regardless if the update was handled
by an active render engine. This is needed by the realtime compositor as
it implements logic for view updates, which currently does not execute
if Cycles is rendering for instance.
