1a62fdc82a Geometry Nodes: CSV import node
This commit implements a node to import CSV files as a point cloud.
The interface is minimal, with just a file path input. The type of each
column is chosen by whether the first value is an integer or a float
(those are currently the only supported types).

The goal of the node is to make it easier to get arbitrary data into
geometry nodes for visualization purposes, for example.

b858319dd3 macOS/QuickLook: support rich thumbnail in Finder
Support thumbnail that shows the file contents instead
of the default blend file icon for all files in Finder.
Some files may still have the usual blender icon as thumbnail
depending on their contents.

blender-thumbnailer process is kept alive by the system
in the background and is invoked by QuickLook when needed.

The checkbox to disable the extension is present in
the Settings app.

It will NOT be an interactive "Preview" that allows richer
interactions like Panning viewport, or rotating 3D objects.

64a9260921 Core: remove WITH_CXX_GUARDEDALLOC option
This implements the proposal from #124512. For that it contains the following
changes:
* Remove the global override of `new`/`delete` when `WITH_CXX_GUARDEDALLOC` was
  enabled.
* Always use `MEM_CXX_CLASS_ALLOC_FUNCS` where it is currently used. This used
to be guarded by `WITH_CXX_GUARDEDALLOC` in some but not all cases. This means
that a few classes which didn't use our guarded allocator by default before,
  are now using it.

26ed4d3892 Cycles: Linux Support for HIP-RT
This change switches Cycles to an opensource HIP-RT library which
implements hardware ray-tracing. This library is now used on
both Windows and Linux. While there should be no noticeable changes
on Windows, on Linux this adds support for hardware ray-tracing on
AMD GPUs.

The majority of the change is typical platform code to add new
library to the dependency builder, and a change in the way how
ahead-of-time (AoT) kernels are compiled. There are changes in
Cycles itself, but they are rather straightforward: some APIs
changed in the opensource version of the library.

There are a couple of extra files which are needed for this to
work: hiprt02003_6.1_amd.hipfb and oro_compiled_kernels.hipfb.
There are some assumptions in the HIP-RT library about how they
are available. Currently they follow the same rule as AoT
kernels for oneAPI:
- On Windows they are next to blender.exe
- On Linux they are in the lib/ folder

788bc5158e UV: add support for the SLIM unwrapping algorithm
Integrate an existing implementation of the SLIM unwrapping algorithm
into Blender. More info about SLIM here:
https://igl.ethz.ch/projects/slim/

This commit is based on the integration code written by Aurel Gruber
for Blender 2.7x (unfinished and never merged with the main branch).

This commit is based on Aurel's code, rebased and further improved.

Details:

- Unwrap has been moved into a sub-menu,
slim unwrapping is exposed as: "Minimum Stretch".
- Live unwrap with SLIM refines the solutions using a timer.
- When using SLIM there are options to:
  - Set the number of iterations.
  - Weight the influence using vertex weights.
- SLIM can be disabled using the `WITH_UV_SLIM` build option.

f09c7dc4ba Video: Remove non-ffmpeg AVI support
Blender had a very limited (only uncompressed or MJPEG frames) .avi file
support, for both reading and writing. This is something that ffmpeg can
fully do.

This removes all of that. 3500 lines of code gone, primary motivations being:
- ffmpeg can read and write .avi files just fine, including ones with
  uncompressed or MJPEG frames.
- Blender's ffmpeg integration could also be taught to produce uncompressed or
MJPEG .avi files, but TBH I don't see a particular reason to do that. Modern
formats like H264 are better in every way, and already support "lossless"
  option if needed.
- The "Lite" blender build configuration was excluding both ffmpeg and avi
anyway, so that config is something that can't read nor write any movies.

User visible changes:

- In scene image output type, under Video section now there's only Ffmpeg Video
(AVI Raw and AVI JPEG are gone)
- Whenever loading an existing file, if output was one of AVI Raw / AVI JPEG,
it is set to Ffmpeg Video.

324ef0cbf4 RenderTest: GPU Render Tests Pass Silently
Add silently fail option to GPU based render tests. This is a pre-requisite to enable
render tests on the buildbot. By default these render tests will pass silently.

* Test will pass when using the `--pass-silently` arguments.
* Only crashes will be reported as failed tests.
* To find out failing test, review the test reports.

`WITH_GPU_RENDER_TESTS_SILENT` compile option can be used to let tests pass (default)
or fail (default for developers).

Although some tests fail, they still passed. In the generated render report,
the silently passed failures are correctly reported to be failures.

e955c94ed3 License Headers: Set copyright to "Blender Authors", add AUTHORS
Listing the "Blender Foundation" as copyright holder implied the Blender
Foundation holds copyright to files which may include work from many
developers.

While keeping copyright on headers makes sense for isolated libraries,
Blender's own code may be refactored or moved between files in a way
that makes the per file copyright holders less meaningful.

Copyright references to the "Blender Foundation" have been replaced with
"Blender Authors", with the exception of `./extern/` since these this
contains libraries which are more isolated, any changed to license
headers there can be handled on a case-by-case basis.

Some directories in `./intern/` have also been excluded:

- `./intern/cycles/` it's own `AUTHORS` file is planned.
- `./intern/opensubdiv/`.

An "AUTHORS" file has been added, using the chromium projects authors
file as a template.

04bb5f9995 Render: support USD Hydra render delegates
Hydra is a rendering architecture part of USD, designed to abstract the
host application from the renderer. A renderer implementing a Hydra
render delegate can run in any host application supporting Hydra, which
now includes Blender.

For external renderers this means less code to be written, and improved
performance due to a using a C++ API instead of a Python API.

Add-ons need to subclass bpy.types.HydraRenderEngine. See the example in
the Python API docs for details.

An add-on for Hydra Storm will be included as well. This is USD's
rasterizing renderer, used in other applications like usdview. For users
it can provide a preview of USD file export, and for developers it
serves a reference.

There are still limitations and missing features, especially around
materials. The remaining to do items are tracked in #110765.

This feature was contributed by AMD.

7f8495c44b CMake: add WITH_STRSIZE_DEBUG option, RNA support
Support string size debug so it can be used for regular development.

It works be writing values into strings, ensuring the buffer size
given is actually available. Developers can use this with memory
checking tools such as ASAN/valgrind to force an error when
the value used for the size of a buffer is larger than the buffer.

Resolve remaining issue with RNA using BLI_strncpy* in generated

- The importer has the option to merge vertices
- The exporter supports exporting loose edges and vertices along with

75a6d3abf7 Cycles: add Path Guiding on CPU through Intel OpenPGL
This adds path guiding features into Cycles by integrating Intel's Open Path
Guiding Library. It can be enabled in the Sampling > Path Guiding panel in the
render properties.

This feature helps reduce noise in scenes where finding a path to light is
difficult for regular path tracing.

The current implementation supports guiding directional sampling decisions on
surfaces, when the material contains a least one diffuse component, and in
volumes with isotropic and anisotropic Henyey-Greenstein phase functions.

On surfaces, the guided sampling decision is proportional to the product of
the incident radiance and the normal-oriented cosine lobe and in volumes it
is proportional to the product of the incident radiance and the phase function.

The incident radiance field of a scene is learned and updated during rendering
after each per-frame rendering iteration/progression.

At the moment, path guiding is only supported by the CPU backend. Support for
GPU backends will be added in future versions of OpenPGL.

- Input device support such as NDOF and IME as there is no GUI.
- Blender thumbnail extraction as it's not installed as part of
