* Move out of Simplify panel, into Light Paths > Fast Global Illumination
* Add separate boolan setting to enable/disable it separate from Simplify
* Default AO bounces to 1
* Put ambient occlusion distance in this panel as well
Support Python 3.10a5 or 3.9x with support explicitly enabled.
- Enable Python's postponed annotations for Blender's RNA classes
types registered on startup.
- Using postponed annotations has implications for how they are defined,
since they must evaluate in the modules name-space instead of the
classes name-space. See changes to annotations in `release/scripts`.
- Use `from __future__ import annotations` at the top of the module
to ensure the script will run with Python 3.10.
- Old logic is kept since it could be used if PEP-649 is supported.

This patch will share the AOV settings between Cycles and Eevee.
It enable using the AOV name conflict detection of Blender. This
means that unlike how Cycles used to work it isn't possible to add an
AOV with a similar name. Conflicts with internal render pass names will
be indicated with an Warning icon.

Blender has now the place to store the Cryptomatte settings. This patch
migrates Cycles to use the new settings.

This simplifies compositors setups and will be consistent with Eevee render
passes from D6331. There's a continuum between these passes and it's not clear
there is much advantage to having them available separately.

Shader nodes are now shared with Eevee, so makes more sense to have it in
the core and not be Cycles specific.
Fix T62415: issues with append/link of old Cycles settings.
It only returned those for the active device type. For backwards compatibility
return them all again, but still avoid enumerating them from our own code on
startup or opening preferences.
The code assumed all datablocks were read from .blend files saved with the
same version. This restructures the Cycles versioning code to take into
account libraries.
Even though it makes sense logically to have displacement actually displace
the mesh, this is causing a lot of confusion for existing users that are used
to the previous behavior. Further, since Eevee does not support displacement
yet and the discrepancy between the viewport and final render is problematic.
This means the shader can now be used for procedural texturing. New
settings on the node are Samples, Inside, Local Only and Distance.

The automatic mode checks all Enviroment Texture nodes and picks the largest image's resolution.
If there are no Enviroment Textures, it just uses the old default.
Also, the sampling map now isn't limited to square shapes. The automatic detection uses the exact image size,
the manual UI option now halves the value to get the height.
A default aspect ratio of 2:1 makes sense since this is what most HDRIs use.

This adds midlevel and object/world space for displacement, and a
vector displacement node with tangent/object/world space, midlevel
and scale.
Note that tangent space vector displacement still is not exactly
compatible with maps created by other software, this will require
changes to the tangent computation.
Differential Revision: https://developer.blender.org/D1734
Previously only scalar displacement along the normal was supported,
now displacement can go in any direction. For backwards compatibility,
a Displacement node will be automatically inserted in existing files.
This will make it possible to support vector displacement maps in the
future. It's already possible to use them to some extent, but requires
a manual shader node setup. For tangent space maps the right tangent
may also not be available yet, depends on the map.

It doesn't seem that useful in practice, was mostly added to match some
other renderers but also seems to be causing user confusing and accidental
long render times. So let's just keep the UI simple and remove this.

We're adding some bias by default, which now I think is the right thing
to do from a usability point of view since you really need to use those
options anyway to get clean renders in a practical time.

For the multi-GPU case users still have to reconfigure the devices they want to use.

This is a late follow-up commit to the light sample threshold changes which
caused difference in rendering all existing .blend files which is not something
we are happy about: it is fine to use new optimized defaults for new files, but
existing ones should always be rendering in the same way as they used to be.
Sorry for the inconveniece, but such thing should have been done to begin with.
If this setting was modified it will not be reset to zero.
Now all render tests should be passing again.
P.S. Also really annoying to bump subversion for such reasons, but currently we
don't have better way to achieve what we want.
Really annoying bug, the code was not forward compatible at all and
resulted in crash. And it is really good to keep at least one release
forward compatibility so possible regressions could be verified easily.
The idea now is to use new property name for the pixel filter type,
but keep old property around for a couple of releases, so we have at
least some forward compatibility.
Don't like this situation at all, but seems it's least of the evil
we can choose.
Thanks Brecht for the review!
This change the following values:
- World settings:
- Use MIS: On
- MIS Samples: 1
- MIS Resolution: 1024
Enabling World MIS per default won't make simple backgrounds (flat background color) slower,
see previous commit. This gets disabled internally if World MIS is not actually needed.
