acd7b81c2d bugfix [#25230] Quick extrude Ctrl-LMB : wrong behaviour of 'RotateSource' option.
Problem is is with operator redo which click-extrude exposed.

Check if redo operator can run, otherwise lock the UI and add a label that the operator doesn't support redo.
This is clunky but IMHO better then failing silently and leaving the user confused.

- Merged redo functions into ED_undo_operator_repeat(), code was duplicated in a few places.
- added WM_operator_repeat_check to check if WM_operator_repeat() can run, avoids an undo call when redo work.

Unrelated changes
- GHOST_SystemWin32.cpp set to utf8 encoding.
- cmake_consistency_check.py now checks source files are utf8.

b110c7c8f2 Dependency graph: changed DAG_id_flush_update to DAG_id_tag_update. Now it
only tags the ID and does the actual flush/update delayed, before the next
redraw. For objects the update was already delayed, just flushing wasn't
yet.

This should help performance in python and animation editors, by making 
calls to RNA property update quicker. Still need to add calls in a few
places where this was previously avoided due to bad performance.

263830f000 Enabled GCC -Wwrite-strings warning for CMake and replaced many 'char's for 'const char's,.
Only one functional change where Transform orientations passed "" to BIF_createTransformOrientation() which could then have the value written into.

1dd1cea06e fix for error when changing DISBALE_PYTHON -> WITH_PYTHON,
This define wasn't set in some parts of the BGE causing problems with the view matrix.
in CMake define for the entire BGE fixes this.

e8397e6193 include headers in cmake source, added a script to check for consistency, reporting missing headers & C files.
this is important so IDE's using CMake integration always get blender headers. - QtCreator & MSVC for eg, probably others too.

51dcbdde03 use 'const char *' by default with RNA functions except when the value is flagged as PROP_THICK_WRAP.
Also use const char in many other parts of blenders code.

Currently this gives warnings for setting operator id, label and description since these are an exception and allocated beforehand.

c6976e7351 use explicit file paths for CMake rather then globing, This is recommended by cmake devs.
globbing vs explicit is discussed here.

Practical implications are:
- developers need to keep CMakeLists.txt files up to date.
- Users wont get strange linking errors if they build after a file is added, since CMake detects CMakeLists.txt is modified and automatically reconfigure.

- removed deprecated bitmap arg from IMB_allocImBuf (plugins will need updating).
- mostly tagged UNUSED() since some of these functions look like they may need to have the arguments used later.

0d530c3ddb Fix #23363: Layer buttons do not update when last object deleted
This happend because of incorrect order of calculating used layer mask and drawing
header. Added layer content changed notifier to recalc used layers when needed.
This also fixes header redrawing in "Move to layer" operator and when user
changes Object.layers in properties view

a62e340573 Fix #21028: operator redo creates hundreds of images when texture paint is on.
Now operator redo will look for an undo push with the same name in both the
paint/sculpt and global undo stack.

45ce1c003d Modes are now toggled on using operators on load if the file was saved in
that mode. This ensures proper initialization happens like creating the
cursor or building an acceleration structure. It also means edit and
particle mode are now saveable.

Not sure yet if this is a good feature, though personally I like being able
to load my exact state again after saving, but maybe entering edit mode is
too slow in some cases? It's easy to make it work only for the sculpt/paint
modes again if wanted.

This fixes bug #21004 about a missing sculpt cursor on load.

8d6a40c016 Fix #19802: tweaking the values of e.g. the add tube operator when
entering editmode on a second mesh would create a duplicate tube.

Cleaning the undo stack from the previous mesh would mess up the redo.
Also, OBJECT_OT_mode_set was causing enter/exit editmode undo push to
be done twice, now it leaves undo push to the operator it calls.

678d37fe4e Sculpt: now uses it's own Undo stack like editmesh. The main advantage here is
that it is able to store changes in the mesh more compact than global undo.

It doesn't integrate well with multires yet, will tackle that when I start
looking into multires, for now still focusing on sculpt on regular meshes.

3daa283604 2.5: Object module
* Split object_edit.c into multiple files:
  object_add.c, object_edit.c, object_hook.c, object_relations.c,
  object_select.c, object_transform.c.
* Rename files to have consistent object_ and mball_ prefix:
  object_shapekey.c, object_lattice.c, object_vgroup.c, mball_edit.c.
* Added operators:
  * vertex group menu and set active
  * apply location, rotation, scale, visual transform (location is new)
  * make local
  * make vertex parent
  * move to layer
  * convert to curve/mesh (not finished yet)
* Many small fixes for marked issues, but still much code to be cleaned
  up here...

Notifiers
---------

Various fixes for wrong use of notifiers, and some new notifiers
to make things a bit more clear and consistent, with two notable
changes:

* Geometry changes are now done with NC_GEOM, rather than
  NC_OBJECT|ND_GEOM_, so an object does need to be available.
* Space data now use NC_SPACE|ND_SPACE_*, instead of data
  notifiers or even NC_WINDOW in some cases. Note that NC_SPACE
  should only be used for notifying about changes in space data,
  we don't want to go back to allqueue(REDRAW..).

Depsgraph
---------

The dependency graph now has a different flush call:

DAG_object_flush_update(scene, ob, flag)
is replaced by:
DAG_id_flush_update(id, flag)

It still works basically the same, one difference is that it now
also accepts object data (e.g. Mesh), again to avoid requiring an
Object to be available. Other ID types will simply do nothing at
the moment.

----

I made some guidelines for how/when to do which kinds of updates
and notifiers. I can't specify totally exact how to make these
decisions, but these are basically the guidelines I use. So, new

Operator goodies!

--- Macro operators

Operators now can consist of multiple operators. Such a macro operator
is identical and behaves identical to other opererators. Macros can
also be constructed of macros even! Currently only hardcoded macros are
implemented, this to solve combined operators such as 'add duplicate' or
'extrude' (both want a transform appended).

Usage is simple:
- WM_operatortype_append_macro() : add new operatortype, name, flags
- WM_operatortype_macro_define() : add existing operator to macro

(Note: macro_define will also allow properties to be set, doesnt work
 right now)

On converting the macro wmOperatorType to a real operator, it makes a
list of all operators, and the standard macro callbacks (exec, invoke,
modal, poll) just will use all.

Important note; switching to a modal operator only works as last in the
chain now!

Macros implemented for duplicate, extrude and rip. Tool menu works fine
for it, also the redo hotkey F4 works properly.

--- Operator redo fix

The operators use the undo system to switch back, but this could give
errors if other actions added undo pushes (buttons, outliner). Now the
redo for operator searches back for the correct undo level.

This fixes issues with many redos.

Note for brecht: removed the ED_undo_push for buttons... it was called
on *every* button now, which is probably too much? For example, using
the 'toolbar' redo also caused this...

f75005c2a8 2.5 MetaBalls
- It is possible to work with MetaBalls in edit mode now
 - Added basic UI to the button window (feel free to change it :-))
 - Header menus should work
 - Undo & redo should work
 - Removed global variable editelems and lastelem (moved it to the MetaBall struct)
 - All tools from old editmball.c was converted to the operators
 - Added lastelem to the RNA
 - Experimental: mb->editelems is only pointer at mb->elems or NULL (depends on Mode). ListBase of MetaElems is not duplicated in edit mode.

Tested with scons at Linux and mac OS X

TODO:
 - Recalc data after Undo or Redo
 - Solve issue with basic MetaBall and Python UI script (only base MetaBall object influence Wiresize and Threshold)
 - Fix orientation of manipulator in "Normal mode"

* Fix refresh issue with image window header + editmode.
* Fix drawing of shadow mesh for image painting.
* Remove deprecated uiDefMenuButO and uiDefMenuSep functions.
* Remove keyval.c, code is in wm_keymap.c already.
* Rename WM_operator_redo to WM_operator_props_popup.

Part one (of probably many :) of Operator review/validation.
Nothing final nor defined, it's reseach :)

- Added tool buttons in "Toolbar" (Tkey). Just four examples
  for objectmode, and six for mesh editmode.

(Review in progress is operator internal state vs context, what
do redo exactly, undo vs redo syncing, when op->invoke or not,
etc. This has to be pinned down exactly and frozen asap)

- On undo, clear redo-operator-stack for now (won't work)
- Added call to better detect active/current view3d region.
  ED_view3d_context_rv3d(C)
- Fixed some operators that missed correct redo (add-prim etc).

Later more fun!
