Previously only dropping file-paths was supported by the WM logic,
even though GHOST supported strings.
This is used for dropping a text selection as well as URL's
(on X11 & Wayland).
Add WM_DRAG_STRING, created from GHOST's GHOST_kDragnDropTypeString.
This data was 'hidden' away in a util in
`lib_query.cc`, which made it hard to discover and keep up-to-date.
However, as shown by e.g. #108407, critical low-level features in ID
management code, such as remapping, now rely on this information being
valid.
Also simplify `BKE_library_id_can_use_filter_id` and
`BKE_library_id_can_use_idtype` to make them more generic, relying on
IDTypeInfo to retrieve IDtype-specific info.
No behavioral changes expected here.
These reports were embedded in the window manager DNA,
but they were always cleared when reading it from files. It's clearer
to just not store the reports in files at all. I also moved the reports
initialization and freeing to the constructor and destructor of the
runtime class.
This is the only place `ReportList` was embedded in DNA, so
after this we can move that to use C++ features if we want.

This PR adds a new command line argument to validate all statically
defined shaders. It is useful for platform support to understand
what isn't working.
It only checks statically defined shaders. Dynamic shaders (EEVEE/Compositor)
can still be fail.
The report is printed to console. After checking with windows platform and
triaging we could also add it to gpu debug script. There is a risk of adding it there
as it might crash and don't store any output.

- Use FunctionRef to avoid passing a separate user_data pointer
- Use std::string in arguments struct
- Add search items in one loop after gathering search items
- Use Vector of unique_ptr for search items instead of linked list
Currently most of the data stored in `wmWindowManager` is runtime
data not saved to files. It's confusing that it's declared in DNA then. That
also prevents us from using C++ features. This commit adds an initial
runtime struct. Moving data there can be done as a separate step.
Initially I wanted to look at moving the `ReportList` system to C++.
The runtime struct has to be defined in the blenkernel module because
the members are (will be) used there in a few places.

The ID remapper code was already largely defined in a CPP struct
(IDRemapper). Make this an actual class, and remove the C API wrapper
around.
This makes the code cleaner, easier to follow, and easier to extend or
modify in the future.

I added a new BLO_userdef_default.h header to contain declarations of
two global variables that are still defined in C files. Use of designated
initializers for large structs make those files harder to change.
Arguably this is a better header for them anyway.

The main simplification is using return values rather than return
arguments, and the additional semantic clarity from std::optional.
Also use `fmt` for formatting and use lambdas instead of macros
as helpers in a few modal keymap formatting functions.

Although the information displayed in the status bar is strictly
speaking reports, it makes sense to translate them using the Interface
setting instead of Reports, as the tool names and stats terms are
also translated in other UI places (toolbar, menus).
This change includes status bars statistics and keymaps, and viewport
statistics.
The change is quite extensive as it is all or nothing. Translating
keymaps using Interface means some status messages will include them
indirectly, and thus cannot use Reports without having a weird mix of
original and translated words. In turn, having only some messages
translated would be even more confusing.
The result is that all messages related to input are now translated with
Interface, which I think also makes sense.
Discussed as a followup to !116804.

Currently, internal I/O operators can be invoked with drag-n-drop path
data, and when this happens a quick popup menu is shown to customize
import settings.
If these operators support operator presets, using a preset can
override path data given by drag-n-drop, and that can be unwanted
behavior.
While this can be fixed by setting path properties to SKIP_SAVE, doing
this would make these properties also to stop using ghost values. These
ghost values are used by the file select window to open operator last
import directory, and using this flag makes the file select windows
always open the home directory.
To fix that, add an explicit flag PROP_SKIP_PRESET that skips properties
writing to presets. Also clarify that PROP_HIDDEN and PROP_SKIP_SAVE
also avoid writing to presets.
Added a operator that can clean operator's specific property presets.
Importing presets from previous versions runs an automatic cleanup.

Caused by [0] which closed all popups when adding a file selector event.
This was done so pressing "Open..." from the splash closes the splash
however it caused BUTTONS_OT_file_browse & BUTTONS_OT_directory_browse
to crash when changing the path of an RNA property within a popup.
Move the logic to close popups into the splash screen itself.
Since some actions such as opening a URL's should keep the splash open,
resolve by closing the splash when a file selector is opened.

This significantly simplifies memory management, mostly by avoiding
the need to free the memory manually. It may also improve performance,
since std::string has an inline buffer that can prevent heap
allocations and it stores the size.

When auto-save is slow it can be very intrusive because it freezes Blender at
unexpected times. Often people have a habit of saving frequently anyway, even
more often than auto-save would. In this case it seems unnecessary to auto-save
as well.
This patch restarts the auto-save timer when the user is saving manually to avoid
the unexpected freeze in many cases.

When a string shouldn't be used or is invalid, use std::nullopt to
make it clear it's value shouldn't be used.
Without this it's possible to accidentally use an empty string
which will silently fail.
Removal of "confirm" operator callback for confirmation customization,
in favor of new method that shares existing operator dialog code and
allows python configuration.

This was part of #117528, but the description is not suitable as a title
in general and this breaks various existing popups. It is often tool long
and detailed, or just not worded in a way that works as a title.
