"Remove addon" button was in the row labeled "Internet", which is
misleading when no documentation buttons appears in the same row.
Now a separate row is created instead.
Ref !108429.
Adds the initial stage for the grease pencil 3.0 project.
This patch includes:
* New ID and new object type.
* New DNA structures.
* New drawing engine for grease pencil (gpencil-next).
* Tests for the new grease pencil data-type.
* A few operators for conversion, switching modes and (simple) drawing.
Exposed to the user:
* An experimental option to switch to the new grease pencil.
* This will switch the grease pencil render engine to gpencil-next which can only render the new object type.
Current grease pencil objects will no longer render.
* Changing this option currently requires a restart of blender (for the keymap to update).
* A conversion setting in the `Object` > `Convert To` operator.
* A drawing operator in `Draw Mode`.

Windows file associations using ProgID, needed because of the launcher.
This fixes "pin to taskbar" and Recent Documents lists, allow per-
version jump lists and an "Open with" list with multiple versions.

This contains the basis of the new overlay engine.
Only a few overlays are ported for proof of concept of the new design.
This new design unifies the selection drawing with the overlay-next engine.
It now becomes responsible of selection in object mode.
For this we create a dedicated shader module that patches the shaders
for selection.
Note that the gizmo selection still uses the occlusion queries and edit-mode
the current selection engine (select_engine.c).

This option is true by default, but it can be changed for
any asset library (that may be using Link as import method).
This also fix "Reset to Default Value" for the Import Method
since this was originally not using the defaults.

Use names:
- `tool_settings` instead of `ts`.
- `props` instead of `op` / `prop` / `op_props`
As Python may reference operators, don't confuse the operator
properties with an instance of the operator.
In both cases these names were already used for most scripts.
- "Lens" can be a transparent object used in cameras, or specifically
its property of focal length
- "Empty" can be an adjective meaning void, or an object type. The
latter is already disambiguated using `ID_ID`
- "New" and "Old" are adjectives that can have agreements in some
languages
- "Modified" is an adjective that can have agreement in some languages
- "Clipping" can be a property of a camera, or a behavior of the
mirror modifier
- "Value" in HSV nodes, see #105113
- "Area" in the Face Area geometry node, can mean a measurement or a
window type
- "New" is an adjective that can have agreement
- "Tab" can be a UI element or a whitespace character
- "Volume" can mean a measurement or an object type. The latter is
already disambiguated using `ID_ID`
These changes introduce the new `BLT_I18NCONTEXT_TIME` translation
context.
They also remove `BLT_I18NCONTEXT_VIRTUAL_REALITY`, which I added at
one point but then couldn't find which messages I wanted to fix with
it.

Mistake in ba25023d22, updated the drawing code with the wrong function
call. So when setting the add-ons category to "User", add-ons installed
in the user paths (custom paths configured in Preferences) wouldn't show
up.
Makes it possible to select multiple custom script directories in Preferences >
File Paths, replacing the single Scripts path option. Each of these directories
supports the regular script directory layout with a startup file (or files?),
add-ons, modules and presets.
When installing an add-on, the script directory can be chosen.
NOTE: Deprecates the `bpy.types.PreferencesFilePaths.script_directory`
property, and replaces `bpy.utils.script_path_pref` with
`bpy.utils.script_paths_pref`.

This patch adds an option to the Status Bar: `Scene Duration`
This shows the duration of the current scene in frames and timecode
`Duration: <timecode> (Frame <current frame>/<total frames>)`
The timecode follows the formatting defined in the user preferences.

- Show/hide mask layers: the tooltip was confusing from a user's
perspective, because they should not be expected to know what a hide
flag is.
- Active Spline -> Active Point: likely a copy and paste error.
- Geo Nodes face is planar node: forgotten article.
- Axes, plural instead of axis for the viewport preferences. Here
there are several usages of axis or axes. Since they refer to
coordinate axes I believe they should be plural, even though the
property `mini_axis_type` is still wrong.

Move two settings that were previously in the "View" menu of the Graph Editor into User Preferences.
It has been mentioned in the meeting by Luciano Muñoz Sessarego that it would be good to move that to the preferences so you can set it once and then forget about it.
The Settings moved are:
Only Selected Curve Keyframes
Use High Quality Display
Pull Request: https://projects.blender.org/blender/blender/pulls/104532
This commit implements described in the #104573.
The goal is to fix the confusion of the submodule hashes change, which are not
ideal for any of the supported git-module configuration (they are either always
visible causing confusion, or silently staged and committed, also causing
confusion).
This commit replaces submodules with a checkout of addons and addons_contrib,
covered by the .gitignore, and locale and developer tools are moved to the
main repository.
This also changes the paths:
- /release/scripts are moved to the /scripts
- /source/tools are moved to the /tools
- /release/datafiles/locale is moved to /locale
This is done to avoid conflicts when using bisect, and also allow buildbot to
automatically "recover" wgen building older or newer branches/patches.
Running `make update` will initialize the local checkout to the changed
repository configuration.
Another aspect of the change is that the make update will support Github style
of remote organization (origin remote pointing to thy fork, upstream remote
pointing to the upstream blender/blender.git).
