9bb0303221 Bugfix for [#29684] Output video presets messed up
* This was caused ny the ImageType refactor.
* Problem persisted with Quicktime too, could not test that, but should fix presets there too.

738fdc7b6f New modifier type: eModifierTypeType_NonGeometrical, for modifiers affecting CustomData layers only (e.g. UVProject and WeightVG ones).
Also, allow applying to obdata those modifiers, even with shapekeys, but do not allow applying them *as* shapekey (as shapekeys do not have CD layers).

Fix [#29636] Vertex Weight Mix modifier "apply" button don't work.

Note: applying whit shape keys currently always uses base shape, not current one (for apply to obdata as well as apply to shapekey), but this is another topic...

a7bae8474b calculate weight paint colors once per vertex rather then on every face corner (was doing the same deform vert lookup and color calculation multiple times per vertex),
Quick shows over 2x speedup in my tests, will give bigger speedup with more vertex groups.

If you happen to have vertices with no faces using them - vertex colors will be calculated unnecessarily, but this isnt a common use case for weight paint mode.

26b3dfa30e Automatically hide unused (=unlinked) node sockets in collapsed ("hidden") nodes. This is to make nodes with many sockets cleaner and simpler, which is the purpose of collapsing nodes in the first place.
The hiding code uses the SOCK_IN_USE flags already present. These were only temporarily set by the shader node code for determining needed texture coordinate types. Now they are used persistently and updated along with the sock->link pointers.

3311164b24 Math lib: matrix multiplication order fix for two functions that were
inconsistent with similar functions & math notation:

mul_m4_m4m4(R, B, A) => mult_m4_m4m4(R, A, B)
mul_m3_m3m4(R, B, A) => mult_m3_m3m4(R, A, B)

For branch maintainers, it should be relatively simple to fix things manually,
it's also possible run this script after merging to do automatic replacement:

91f14ddf3d Fixed point cache subframe interpolation issue.
Point cache interpolation was using too early start frame in cases when target frame was a subframe. This appeared as random ghost particles when rendering particle animation with full sample motion blur enabled.

6ccc605660 Bicubic bump map filtering.
This commit introduces bicubic bump map capabilities for the viewport for OpenGL 3.0+ capable GPUs. 

To use the functionality change the bump mapping method to "best quality"
Previous "best quality" setting becomes "medium quality" now.
For non OpenGL 3.0 GPUs this becomes the same as "medium quality"

Also:
* added tooltip descriptions to the bump method settings.
* modified the shader to ommit extraneous matrix multiplications for matrices already provided by OpenGL.

3d5330f789 vertex group changes,
use more api functions more (some vertex group editing functions were copied about), also make some functions int oapi calls.

- remove defgroup_find_index(), use BLI_findlink instead since they both work the same way.
- move static function getNearestPointOnPlane() to BLI_math api function closest_to_plane_v3()
- ED_vgroup_give_parray() added option to return an array where unselected verts are NULL (simplifies code & works for lattice when it didn't before).
- more consistant error checking of ob->actdef.

6c90a192c6 Do not switch to safe malloc if tracking sequence
Malloc is getting to be safe on sequence tracking by the jobs system,
so no additional set up are necessary.

This hopefully fixes crash on OSX with OpenMP enabled when compiling by older gcc

threadsafe only when thread was started using BLI_threads module.

a912afd202 Fix #29516: Twist brush giving crazy results
- Rotation now happens around initial stroke location rather than around scene origin
- Added slider for rotation strength which helps in cases only few rotation is needed
  to be to increase the precision of such strokes

9d807eb6dd Mesh drawing optimization and fixes:
- Pass MFace, MTface and OrigIndex arrays via userData to compareDrawParams callback
  rather than looking up for this layers for each face
- This allowed to avoid massing DM to compare callback which seems like a bad-level pass
- Fixed crashes on some video cards when assigning different materials to different
  faces in edit mode. Both of intel and nvidia cards in my laptop were affected by
  this error

11aba526f2 another possible fix for bug [#29521], all callers of flip_side_name(...), assumed it initialized the string however for 1-2 length names it returned without doing anything.
in most cases the caller would then check if the name was different to see if the name was flipped, incorrectly comparing the uninitialized string with the original name.

0feb2acd8a regarding [#29521] Invalid Vertex Weights
added checks to mesh.validate() so it checks for nan weights and negative groups which can crash blender.

the file in the report looks to be corrupt, but this at least can make it load.

also noticed validate was using isnan() and finite() were both used to check valid vertex locations, only finite is needed.

2b82498544 minor refactor of vertex group functions,
- defvert_remove_index's index wasnt used anywhere, rename to defvert_remove_group
- defvert_add_to_group was local in MOD_weightvg_util.c, moved to deform.c and renamed to defvert_add_index_notest

real fix coming next...
