8ec9c62d3e Geometry Nodes: add Closures and Bundles behind experimental feature flag
This implements bundles and closures which are described in more detail in this
blog post: https://code.blender.org/2024/11/geometry-nodes-workshop-october-2024/

tl;dr:
* Bundles are containers that allow storing multiple socket values in a single
  value. Each value in the bundle is identified by a name. Bundles can be
  nested.
* Closures are functions that are created with the Closure Zone and can be
  evaluated with the Evaluate Closure node.

To use the patch, the `Bundle and Closure Nodes` experimental feature has to be
enabled. This is necessary, because these features are not fully done yet and
still need iterations to improve the workflow before they can be officially
released. These iterations are easier to do in `main` than in a separate branch
though. That's because this patch is quite large and somewhat prone to merge
conflicts. Also other work we want to do, depends on this.

This adds the following new nodes:
* Combine Bundle: can pack multiple values into one.
* Separate Bundle: extracts values from a bundle.
* Closure Zone: outputs a closure zone for use in the `Evaluate Closure` node.
* Evaluate Closure: evaluates the passed in closure.

Things that will be added soon after this lands:
* Fields in bundles and closures. The way this is done changes with #134811, so
  I rather implement this once both are in `main`.
* UI features for keeping sockets in sync (right now there are warnings only).

One bigger issue is the limited support for lazyness. For example, all inputs of
a Combine Bundle node will be evaluated, even if they are not all needed. The
same is true for all captured values of a closure. This is a deeper limitation
that needs to be resolved at some point. This will likely be done after an
initial version of this patch is done.

79743b68a8 UI: Use a red alert theme color for unsupported nodes
Undefined nodes are currently drawn using a red alert theme color to
make it easier to spot them and replace them. On the other hand, nodes
that are unsupported, that is, nodes whose poll method fail, are not
reported to the user in any way. So this patch also uses the same red
alert color for unsupported nodes.

The node_type_is_undefined function is moved to the draw file since it
seems to be specific to it and not used anywhere else.

16dcc33cb8 Fix: Nodes: update supported node types check for dynamic legacy types
Newer nodes may not have a fixed `legacy_type`. This was not accounted for
correctly when reading nodes. Such newer nodes are exclusively identified by their idname.

Fortunately, Blender 4.4 was released without any new nodes that don't have
a fixed `legacy_type`. So this does not have to be backported.

7aced80eec Cleanup: blenkernel: Replace 'void' MEM_[cm]allocN with templated, type-safe MEM_[cm]allocN<T>.
The main issue of 'type-less' standard C allocations is that there is no check on
allocated type possible.

This is a serious source of annoyance (and crashes) when making some
low-level structs non-trivial, as tracking down all usages of these
structs in higher-level other structs and their allocation is... really
painful.

MEM_[cm]allocN<T> templates on the other hand do check that the
given type is trivial, at build time (static assert), which makes such issue...
trivial to catch.

NOTE: New code should strive to use MEM_new (i.e. allocation and
construction) as much as possible, even for trivial PoD types.

0a80f470f8 Compositor: Add common nodes to compositor
This patch adds common nodes that are used in Geometry Nodes and Shader
Nodes to the compositor. The following new nodes were added:

- Vector Math.
- Vector Rotate.
- Vector Mix.
- Value Mix.
- Clamp.
- Float Curve.
- Blackbody.

The follow nodes were replaced by common counterparts:

- Value.
- Color Ramp.
- Mix Color.
- Map Range.
- Math.
- Combine XYZ.
- Separate XYZ.
- Vector Curves.

Some new features were gained in the process:

- Mix Color can now clamp both factor and result.
- Map Range can map different types and interpolations.
- Vector Curves gained a new Factor input.

Some behaviors were changed:

- Map Range previously forcibly clamped values whose magnitude is larger
  than the arbitrary value of 10000. This is no longer the case.

Some nodes were removed:

- Map Value. This was Map Range without the maximum 10000 limitation
  followed by a Clamp node. Both are now available as nodes.

Some common nodes remain separate:

- Separate/Combine Color. Shader counterpart does not yet support all
  color modes, and does not support alpha.
- RGB Curves. Shader variant does not support Film-Like curves or
  Black/White balancing.

Texture nodes will also be added soon in a separate patch. Nodes that
were replaced are now deprecated but still exist and will later be
removed in v5.0. Backward compatibility code was introduced to convert
from the deprecated nodes to the new nodes.

dd168a35c5 Refactor: Replace MEM_cnew with a type-aware template version of MEM_callocN.
The general idea is to keep the 'old', C-style MEM_callocN signature, and slowly
replace most of its usages with the new, C++-style type-safer template version.

* `MEM_cnew<T>` allocation version is renamed to `MEM_callocN<T>`.
* `MEM_cnew_array<T>` allocation version is renamed to `MEM_calloc_arrayN<T>`.
* `MEM_cnew<T>` duplicate version is renamed to `MEM_dupallocN<T>`.

Similar templates type-safe version of `MEM_mallocN` will be added soon
as well.

Following discussions in !134452.

NOTE: For now static type checking in `MEM_callocN` and related are slightly
different for Windows MSVC. This compiler seems to consider structs using the
`DNA_DEFINE_CXX_METHODS` macro as non-trivial (likely because their default
copy constructors are deleted). So using checks on trivially
constructible/destructible instead on this compiler/system.

Side effects: some assertions and null-check (with early return) were removed.

In addition, one pointer argument now actually a return type.

By-reference return types instead of pointers going to be separate kind of

d28cf7a469 Fix #134283: defer freeing tree/node/socket types
Currently, tree, node and socket types are always freed immediately when the
Python code unregisters them. This is problematic, because there may still be
references to those type pointers in evaluated data owned by potentially various
depsgraphs. It's not possible to change data in these depsgraphs, because they
may be independent from the original data and might be worked on by a separate
thread. So when the type pointers are freed directly, there will be a lot of
dangling pointers in evaluated copies. Since those are used to free the nodes,
there will be a crash when the depsgraph updates. In practice, this does not
happen that often, because typically custom node tree addons are not disabled
while in use. They still used to crash often, but only when Blender exits and
unregisters all types.

The solution is to just keep the typeinfo pointers alive and free them all at
the very end. This obviously has the downside that the list of pointers we need
to keep track of can grow endlessly, however in practice that doesn't really
happen under any normal circumstances.

I'm still getting some other crashes when enabling/disabling Sverchok while
testing, but not entirely reliably and also without this patch (the crash there
happens in RNA code). So some additional work will probably be needed later to
make this work properly in all cases.

b51c560f6e Compositor: Implement shortcuts for Viewer nodes
Artists often want to quickly switch back and forth between two or more nodes while compositing.

This patch implements two operators `NODE_OT_viewer_shortcut_set` and `NODE_OT_viewer_shortcut_get` that allow users to map a viewer node to a shortcut. For example, pressing `cltr+1` while a node is selected, assigns that node to the shortcut `1`, creates a viewer node if it has none attached and sets that viewer node to active. Pressing `1` will set the active node with shortcut `1` to active.

Shortcuts are saved in DNA to preserve them after saving/loading blend files.

Limitations:
- Only compositor node tree is supported, because shading editor has no viewer node and geometry nodes viewer works differently.

e1753900b7 BLI: improve UTF-8 safety when copying StringRef to char buffers
Previously, there was a `StringRef.copy` method which would copy the string into
the given buffer. However, it was not defined for the case when the buffer was
too small. It moved the responsibility of making sure the buffer is large enough
to the caller.

Unfortunately, in practice that easily hides bugs in builds without asserts
which don't come up in testing much. Now, the method is replaced with
`StringRef.copy_utf8_truncated` which has much more well defined semantics and
also makes sure that the string remains valid utf-8.

This also renames `unsafe_copy` to `copy_unsafe` to make the naming more similar
to `copy_utf8_truncated`.

476b7ded9e Nodes: make explicit legacy type optional
This makes specifying a legacy type for new node types optional (e.g.
`GEO_NODE_MESH_TO_CURVE`). Instead, only the `idname` is used as a stable
identifier for node types. So there is less redundancy for now.

This change helps with the decentralized definition of nodes and reduces the
number minimum number of files that need to be changed for a new node from 5 to
4. It especially helps when multiple nodes are worked on at the same time,
because the legacy type definition was very prone to have merge conflicts.

For compatibility reasons and because it's still used by existing code, the
`legacy_type` is not removed. All existing nodes keep their current
`legacy_type`. New nodes will receive an auto-incremented legacy type. It's
still necessary to give nodes unique legacy types, because some code checks if
two nodes have the same type by comparing their `legacy_type`. These types only
have to be unique at run-time though. Some randomness is used to avoid depending
on stable generated legacy types accidentally.

11f20683f9 Core: support localizing data-block without owner ID
Previously, the owner-id on localized node trees, like the one created in
`GPU_material_from_nodetree` would have `bNodeTree::owner_id` set, even though
they were independent. The leads to asserts when using `BKE_id_owner_get` on the
localized node tree.

The `node_tree_localize` already took a `ID *new_owner_id` parameter. However,
if it was `nullptr` it was ignored instead actually clearing the `owner_id`.
This patch changes the parameter to `std::optional<ID *> new_owner_id`. Now,
`std::nullopt` means that the value is ignored and when `nullptr` is passed in,
the `owner_id` will be cleared on the localized tree.

Since `node_tree_localize` indirectly uses other functions, the same function
signature change is done in `BKE_libblock_copy_in_lib` and `BKE_id_copy_in_lib`.
The callers have been updated to pass in `nullopt` instead of `nullptr`.

971c96a92c Nodes: rename integer type of nodes to type_legacy
The new description for `bNode.type_legacy`:
```
  /**
   * Legacy integer type for nodes. It does not uniquely identify a node type, only the `idname`
   * does that. For example, all custom nodes use #NODE_CUSTOM but do have different idnames.
   * This is mainly kept for compatibility reasons.
   *
   * Currently, this type is also used in many parts of Blender, but that should slowly be phased
   * out by either relying on idnames, accessor methods like `node.is_reroute()`.
   *
   * A main benefit of this integer type over using idnames currently is that integer comparison is
   * much cheaper than string comparison, especially if many idnames have the same prefix (e.g.
   * "GeometryNode"). Eventually, we could introduce cheap-to-compare runtime identifier for node
   * types. That could mean e.g. using `ustring` for idnames (where string comparison is just
   * pointer comparison), or using a run-time generated integer that is automatically assigned when
   * node types are registered.
ca6538b596 Fix: Incorrect use of StringRef::data()
The returned pointer shouldn't be passed to a function expecting
a null terminated C string. Use the StringRef::copy function instead
which is more efficient anyway since it doesn't have to measure the
size of the string again.
bd8edc7c27 Fix #91917: Animation editor useless names for nodes & geometry nodes
This PR improves the animation editor's display of node socket property
animation names, and names from geometry nodes modifier inputs. In both
cases, the names currently displayed are not very useful.
For geometry nodes inputs, the we now look up the name of the the input
rather than just displaying the identifier from the IDProperty name.
For node sockets, we now display the name of the socket instead of just
"Default Value" (which is technically the name of the RNA property).
We also display the label of the node if it's available. We also display
node labels instead of names for node properties.
