b133019f9f Cycles: oneAPI: use ocloc 101.8132 on Windows
This new version of the graphics compiler improves performance
for the majority of supported Intel devices and adds support
for upcoming Intel hardware. Such an upgrade also requires
an increase in the minimal supported driver version on Windows,
which is why these changes are combined together with
the ocloc upgrade.

Previously set minimal version 101.6557 was increased to 101.8132.

0add3f31a2 Cycles: Bump OptiX minimum and release version to 8.0.0
This requires a minimum driver version of 535, however most devices
were already requiring 570 due to the CUDA toolkit version.

The update is required to be able to use an API function for correct
stack size calculation.

Code for older API versions has been removed.

38a14d7eb4 Cycles: Use HIP SDK 6.4.0 on Linux
It seems to be fixing an issue rendering the junkshop file on RDNA4 GPUs.
Tested on Ubuntu 22.04 and 9070 XT GPU.

The downside of this change is the curve intersection in HIP-RT being
slower (figures are a bit scattered, but average to ~10%). This seems
to be caused by compiler resolving function inlines and spilling
differently. Quite unfortunate, but it is better to solve known crashes.
There might still be time to look into the performance topic during the
Beta period.

6363181af9 Cycles: HIP-RT 2.5 integration and gfx12 support
This change brings the following improvements on the user level
- Support of GPUs with gfx12 architecture
- New HIP-RT library which in addition to the gfx12 support brings
  various bug-fixes.

The known limitation of gfx12 is that OpenImageDenoiser does not yet
support this GPU architecture. This means that while Cycles will use the
full advantage of the gfx12 (including hardware accelerated ray-tracing),
denoising will only be possible on CPU, or secondary gfx11 or below GPU.
This is something that requires a change in OIDN and it is to late to do
it for Blender 4.4, but it is something to look forward for Blender 4.5.

The gfx12 changes for the pre-compiled kernels is rather trivial,
so it comes together (in the same PR) as the bigger HIP-RT change.

On the development side this change brings the following improvements:
- One step compile and link (much simpler CMake rules)
- Embedding BVH binaries in hiprt dll (which makes it easier to package
and load, without relying on special path configuration)

2bab4ae370 Cycles: oneAPI: Optimize texture access by using GPU HW sampler
The current usage of software-based texture operations in
the oneAPI implementation puts additional register pressure on
the GPU compiler during register allocation. And it also creates
code that requires maintenance. This commit is intended to address
this situation by utilizing a recently productized SYCL bindless
texture API to enable HW-based texture operations using
Intel GPUs' hardware sampler.

This currently translates to 1-11% rendering speedups (scene-specific)
on my Arc A770 and Arc B580. At the moment, there are small
performance regressions with NanoVDB texture operations on Arc B580
and small performance regressions in shade surface MNEE and Raytrace
kernels on Arc A770, but they look recoverable and will be handled
in the future.

db6606dab9 Buildbot: Allow specifying explicit HIP version for Linux
Previously it was a single version specification which was only
used by Windows.

In practice we actually have two different SDKs for Linux and

No functional changes expected, the same HIP SDK version is
used, just explicitly.

d387ef224f macOS: upgrade to Xcode 15
For Blender 4.0 only, 3.3 and 3.6 keep using the older Xcode version.

The new linker in Xcode 15 gives many warnings due to duplicated
libraries, generated by CMake to resolve circular dependencies. For now
use the old linker to silence these warnings.

Remove legacy flags for libc++, this is the default for a long time and
generates warnings with the new linker.

Reason for upgrade is to take advantage of MetalRT curve support.

03806d0b67 Re-design of submodules used in blender.git
This commit implements described in the #104573.

The goal is to fix the confusion of the submodule hashes change, which are not
ideal for any of the supported git-module configuration (they are either always
visible causing confusion, or silently staged and committed, also causing
confusion).

This commit replaces submodules with a checkout of addons and addons_contrib,
covered by the .gitignore, and locale and developer tools are moved to the
main repository.

This also changes the paths:
- /release/scripts are moved to the /scripts
- /source/tools are moved to the /tools
- /release/datafiles/locale is moved to /locale

This is done to avoid conflicts when using bisect, and also allow buildbot to
automatically "recover" wgen building older or newer branches/patches.

Running `make update` will initialize the local checkout to the changed
repository configuration.

Another aspect of the change is that the make update will support Github style
of remote organization (origin remote pointing to thy fork, upstream remote
pointing to the upstream blender/blender.git).

8afcecdf1f Cycles: update Intel Graphics compiler to 101.4032 on Windows
A noticeable (>5%) performance regression in oneAPI backend came with
a501a2dbff. Updating to latest graphics
compiler from driver 101.4032 fixes it.

I've tested it with current min-supported drivers and it runs well but
since compatibility of graphics compiler with older drivers isn't
guaranteed, I'm also bumping the min-supported driver versions.

If end-users consider latest drivers too fresh to switch to (version
isn't released as stable on Linux as of today but should be before
Blender 3.5 release), CYCLES_ONEAPI_ALL_DEVICES=1 env variable can be
used.

Intel Graphics Compiler on Linux will be updated in a later commit
so we can then close D16984.
