1d88e19c32 Fix #145185: Crash while solving camera motion
The crash happens in specific cases when doing euclidean resection
in cases when first 3 3D estimates are correlated. While it is a bit
cryptic on user level, what it could mean is:

  - Either there are overlapping markers
  - Or the optical system is highly out of calibration.

Either of these cases is not the primary goal to support with camera
solvers in Libmv for the time being, so while this change avoids the
crash there is possibility to make algorithm more robustly handle the
tracking data and potentially give better result.

Such correlation via some intermediate steps leads to the algorithm
attempting to perform SVD decomposition of a matrix with NaN values
in it.

The exact reason of the crash is not super clear as it happens deep
in the JacobiSVD decomposition code in Eigen and caused by invalid
index somewhere. It might be a bug in Eigen which doesn't do range
checking, hoping that the math does not fail in cases like NaN and
inf.

ccb493b805 Libmv: Abstract parallel range in camera intrinsics
The goal is to be able to switch away from OpenMP by default.

In order to achieve this a new parallel_for() function is added,
which follows the same declaration as the one from TBB. For now
the simplest formulation is used where range is provided by start
and last indices (the last one is excluded from the range).

The side effect is that Libmv now expects the threading limits
to be imposed by the default thread area (or have an explicit
thread area with the limit in the caller). In a way this is
similar to other external libraries.

48e26c3afe MEM_guardedalloc: Refactor to add more type-safety.
The main goal of these changes are to improve static (i.e. build-time)
checks on whether a given data can be allocated and freed with `malloc`
and `free` (C-style), or requires proper C++-style construction and
destruction (`new` and `delete`).

* Add new `MEM_malloc_arrayN_aligned` API.
* Make `MEM_freeN` a template function in C++, which does static assert on
  type triviality.
* Add `MEM_SAFE_DELETE`, similar to `MEM_SAFE_FREE` but calling
  `MEM_delete`.

The changes to `MEM_freeN` was painful and useful, as it allowed to fix a bunch
of invalid calls in existing codebase already.

It also highlighted a fair amount of places where it is called to free incomplete
type pointers, which is likely a sign of badly designed code (there should
rather be an API to destroy and free these data then, if the data type is not fully
publicly exposed). For now, these are 'worked around' by explicitly casting the
freed pointers to `void *` in these cases - which also makes them easy to search for.
Some of these will be addressed separately (see blender/blender!134765).

Finally, MSVC seems to consider structs defining new/delete operators (e.g. by
using the `MEM_CXX_CLASS_ALLOC_FUNCS` macro) as non-trivial. This does not
seem to follow the definition of type triviality, so for now static type checking in
`MEM_freeN` has been disabled for Windows. We'll likely have to do the same
with type-safe `MEM_[cm]allocN` API being worked on in blender/blender!134771

f662caf722 Add RISCV CPU architecture support to build config
Remove assert statement from make_update.py, making it ready for any
architecture.

Add riscv 32, 64 and 128 bit cpu architecture with little/big endian
to Blender's BLI_build_config.h and Libmv's build_config.h

Tested (to compile) on riscv64 little endian machine.

- "can not" -> "cannot" in many places (ambiguous, also see
  Writing Style guide).
- "Bezier" -> "Bézier": proper spelling of the eponym.
- Tool keymaps: make "Uv" all caps.
- "FFMPEG" -> "FFmpeg" (official spelling)
- Use MULTIPLICATION SIGN U+00D7 instead of MULTIPLICATION X U+2715.
- "LClick" -> "LMB", "RClick" -> "RMB": this convention is used
  everywhere else.
- "Save rendered the image..." -> "Save the rendered image...": typo.
- "Preserve Current retiming": title case for property.

d377ef2543 Clang Format: bump to version 17
Along with the 4.1 libraries upgrade, we are bumping the clang-format
version from 8-12 to 17. This affects quite a few files.

If not already the case, you may consider pointing your IDE to the
clang-format binary bundled with the Blender precompiled libraries.

e955c94ed3 License Headers: Set copyright to "Blender Authors", add AUTHORS
Listing the "Blender Foundation" as copyright holder implied the Blender
Foundation holds copyright to files which may include work from many
developers.

While keeping copyright on headers makes sense for isolated libraries,
Blender's own code may be refactored or moved between files in a way
that makes the per file copyright holders less meaningful.

Copyright references to the "Blender Foundation" have been replaced with
"Blender Authors", with the exception of `./extern/` since these this
contains libraries which are more isolated, any changed to license
headers there can be handled on a case-by-case basis.

Some directories in `./intern/` have also been excluded:

- `./intern/cycles/` it's own `AUTHORS` file is planned.
- `./intern/opensubdiv/`.

An "AUTHORS" file has been added, using the chromium projects authors
file as a template.

a12a8a71bb Remove "All Rights Reserved" from Blender Foundation copyright code
The goal is to solve confusion of the "All rights reserved" for licensing
code under an open-source license.

The phrase "All rights reserved" comes from a historical convention that
required this phrase for the copyright protection to apply. This convention
is no longer relevant.

However, even though the phrase has no meaning in establishing the copyright
it has not lost meaning in terms of licensing.

This change makes it so code under the Blender Foundation copyright does
not use "all rights reserved". This is also how the GPL license itself
states how to apply it to the source code:

    <one line to give the program's name and a brief idea of what it does.>
    Copyright (C) <year>  <name of author>

    This program is free software ...

This change does not change copyright notice in cases when the copyright
is dual (BF and an author), or just an author of the code. It also does
mot change copyright which is inherited from NaN Holding BV as it needs
some further investigation about what is the proper way to handle it.

be9800e8da Update Ceres to latest upstream version 2.1.0
This release deprecated the Parameterization API and the new Manifolds
API is to be used instead. This is what was done in the Libmv as part
of this change.

Additionally, remove the bundling scripts. Nowadays those are only
leading to a duplicated work to maintain.

No measurable changes on user side is expected.

c434782e3a File headers: SPDX License migration
Use a shorter/simpler license convention, stops the header taking so
much space.

Follow the SPDX license specification: https://spdx.org/licenses

- C/C++/objc/objc++
- Python
- Shell Scripts
- CMake, GNUmakefile

While most of the source tree has been included

- `./extern/` was left out.
- `./intern/cycles` & `./intern/atomic` are also excluded because they
  use different header conventions.

doc/license/SPDX-license-identifiers.txt has been added to list SPDX all
used identifiers.

See P2788 for the script that automated these edits.

a3ad5abf2f Allocator: simplify using guarded allocator in C++ code
Using the `MEM_*` API from C++ code was a bit annoying:
* When converting C to C++ code, one often has to add a type cast on
  returned `void *`. That leads to having the same type name three times
  in the same line. This patch reduces the amount to two and removes the
  `sizeof(...)` from the line.
* The existing alternative of using `OBJECT_GUARDED_NEW` looks a out
  of place compared to other allocation methods. Sometimes
  `MEM_CXX_CLASS_ALLOC_FUNCS` can be used when structs are defined
  in C++ code. It doesn't look great but it's definitely better. The downside
  is that it makes the name of the allocation less useful. That's because
  the same name is used for all allocations of a type, independend of
  where it is allocated.

This patch introduces three new functions: `MEM_new`, `MEM_cnew` and
`MEM_delete`. These cover the majority of use cases (array allocation is
not covered).

The `OBJECT_GUARDED_*` macros are removed because they are not
needed anymore.

ede1ce6e9a GTest: Use INC/INC_SYS for Libmv/OSD tests
This change transitions libmv/osd tests to our
blender_add_test_executable macro that explicitly
takes the include directories as a parameter.

This is in preparation for future clean-up of
global include directories.

d955ce1170 Fix T86591: Tracking backwards is slower
The root of the issue was caused by the PredictMarkerPosition()
always returning false when tracking backwards. This was making
it so tracker always had to run brute initialization, which is
an expensive operation.

From own timing here:

- Tracking forward takes 0.667637 seconds
- Tracking backward used to take 2.591856 seconds
- Tracking backward now takes 0.827724 seconds

This is a very nice speedup, although the tracking backwards is
still somewhat slower. Will be investigated further as part of
a regular development.

c82f65b096 Fix T86262: Tracking backwards fails after gap in track
The issue was caused by a prediction algorithm detecting tracking the
wrong way. Solved by passing tracking direction explicitly, so that
prediction will always happen correctly regardless of the state of the
Tracks context.

0dd9a4a576 Cleanup: Libmv, clang-format
Is based on Google style which was used in the Libmv project before,
but is now consistently applied for the sources of the library itself
and to C-API. With some time C-API will likely be removed, and it
makes it easier to make it follow Libmv style, hence the diversion
from Blender's style.

There are quite some exceptions (clang-format off) in the code around
Eigen matrix initialization. It is rather annoying, and there could be
some neat way to make initialization readable without such exception.

Could be some places where loss of readability in matrix initialization
got lost as the change is quite big. If this has happened it is easier
to address readability once actually working on the code.

This change allowed to spot some missing header guards, so that's nice.

Doing it in bundled version, as the upstream library needs to have some
of the recent development ported over from bundle to upstream.

There should be no functional changes.
