7632c528de Docs: remove references to "above" in code comments & corrections
Reference identifiers instead of "above" in code comments as these
tends to become outdated. Even when declarations are removed it's at
least clear that the reference no longer exists instead of referring to
whatever is currently above the declaration.
It's also straightforward to search history for a removed identifier.

Corrected 4 cases of references to things that were no longer above
the doc-strings. Noticed other references which look to be incorrect
but need further investigation.

3229bde954 UI: Fix Minimum File Type Icon Size in File Browser
File browser can now show thumbnail view in a larger range of sizes.
Unfortunately there is a lower bound currently set on the icon that is
shown in the middle of the "document" that assumes 64 is the smallest
(the old minimum). This causes these icons to overflow below 64. Just
something that was missed when we allowed smaller sizes. This small
change supports down to 16.

9d8a90d53c Fix: Disable collection export for linked collections
If a non-instanced collection is linked, any collection exporters on the
linked collection would be active and invokable. This is probably not
desired as it could inadvertently overwrite files from the original.
Disable the operators in this case.

aba1a2b6c2 Fix: incorrect grouping of UI props for USD export
Primarily the `evaluation_mode` enum prop was incorrectly grouped with
the previous `xform_op_mode` enum causing them to combine in the UI.

Additionally, group the `allow_unicode` option under the Blender Data
sub layout as was intended but got lost in a merge.

They are more space efficient and display more detail at small sizes.

abb233dd1e VSE: Update theme colors for strips
Some of the existing colors were hard to read with the new
strips design.

Tried following the concept from 2.83 redesign rationale:
* Same saturation for regular strips.
* Lower saturation for effect strips.
* Tried to reduce the hue shift between certain similar effects.

Other changes:
* Match saturation of all regular strips.
* Reduce value and saturation (mostly value) of color tags so
  they are readable in both light and dark text.
* Image: Follow node editor Image node socket color.
* Color: Use the same hue as the color node socket.
* Text: Change it so it doesn’t use the same as Image.
* Sound: Use a greener color, less movie-like blue.
* Scene: Light gray, similar fashion to Collections.
* Other strips had minor adjustments.

6ef2e6f606 Fix #123471: Ensure Trailing Slash for Default Folder Path
In file_browse_invoke, if the path is blank we attempt to use
BKE_appdir_folder_default_or_root to get the user's normal document
root.  However we are not ensuring that the directory path has a
trailing slash, which can result in it being misinterpreted as a file
path instead, separating out the last path part. This PR only adds a
call to BLI_path_slash_ensure.

8cb0b347ae Fix: VSE readability for missing muted/media/datablock labels
With the recent change for labels to be black when not active/selected,
the hardcoded colors of missing media/data-blocks make it hard to read.

- Use a lighter color just like muted strips.
- Makes active/selected muted strips draw labels in full opacity, for consistency.
- Make muted strips a little less gray (50% instead of 80%)

5a8003091c Fix #123181: Sculpt Transform tools dont keep verts on the symmetry axis
From the user perspective, the transform tools in editmode and
sculptmode look like the same tools, the equal behavior could be
expected.

So now set vertices on the mirror axis (check with the same epsilon as
editmode transform) while transforming, replicating what
`mesh_transdata_mirror_apply` does.

c2437d11de Fix: VSE strip text label readability
During the strips redesign it was tested to go with drop shadows but
in practice and based on user feedback it looks better without.

- Remove drop shadow.
- Use white text for active/selected strips, black for unselected.

b76a95b8b4 Fix: VSE timeline strip outline readability
With selected strips, it is not clear where one of them begins and another
ends since their outlines are right next to each other.

This changes strip look so that:
- All strips have consistent dark 1pt outline at the outer edge.
- Selected strips have 2pt highlight inside said outer edge.
- Selected strips also have a 1pt wide 33% opacity darker line inside the
  selection highlight (and inside possible handles). To improve readability
  in case strip content happens to be similar to selection/active color.

eaeb8ba8cd USD: Rename active UV Map to "st" by default
This was previously attempted in #109518 and reverted in #112234. Now do
both the changes in the mesh and material export, and make it an option
in USD export. Hydra always renamed to "st" and continues to do it.

7e61f14a88 Fix #123332: VSE strip transform handles look tweaks
Current look of VSE timeline view strip transformation handles makes them
somewhat "too narrow", especially after recent changes that made them
more narrow than before (handle tweaking feature) and a strip visual change
that made strip outline not go outside of strip bounds. They are now just
2px wide, effectively.

This changes their look as outlined in #123332 design task:
- The inset dark line is no longer over the handles, but rather "inside"
  of them (except when handles are semitransparent, i.e. for strips that
  are not selected).
- The handles themselves have rounded corners.

2948b1e790 Give timeline marker default name when created via binding to camera
Timeline markers get a default name of "F_<frame>" when creating with
`marker.add`, but an empty name with `marker.camera_bind`.
Because the name of the current frame's marker is displayed in the
viewport statistics, such markers appear as "<>" after the name of the
active object, which is confusing.

This change gives the same default name of "F_<frame>" to markers
created this way.
It also cleans up a comment in the line copied from, as that line was
introduced in late 2008 so probably not so temporary.

ed357136dc Fix #123410: node frames interfere with node hide toggle
Now the `uiBlock` array for node is indexed with `node.index()` instead
of the draw-index which is not as readily available in some cases.
The main alternative would be to create an extra map from node index
to draw-index but that doesn't seem worth it right now.

189410e1ff Fix #123333: VSE strip outline width now takes DPI/line width setting into account
Now the strip outline (1 point for unselected strips, 2 point outline +
1 pt dark inset) takes monitor DPI / user preference line width into
account, via the usual U.pixelsize machinery.

ad625d8dc4 Fix #122423: Clear handlers for non-temporary regions on exit
Resolve regression in [0] which incorrectly replaced
`WM_event_modal_handler_region_replace` with
`WM_event_ui_handler_region_popup_replace`
causing a crash when accessing dangling pointers.

Resolve by restoring the call to clear modal handlers regions.

1070ae46fa Fix #122490: Snapping with free handles doesn't move the handles
When snapping keyframes in the Graph Editor, handles
that were set to free didn't move.

The issue was that the snapping code didn't set the handle position.
Instead it relied on the handle recalculation (`calchandleNurb_intern`) to do the job.
That code doesn't affect free handles though.

The fix is to also offset the handles in the snapping code. The handle recalculation
will still run for all the other handle types so that behavior isn't expected to change.

This does NOT change the behavior of bezier snapping in the 3D viewport.

1ab66a6b4f Fix #116138: Hidden bones cannot be active
This PR modifies the check for visibility when selected in the outliner.
With the change the visibility check only affects the selection state, not the active state.
The check has also been swapped with a function call to `ANIM_bone_is_visible_editbone`,
so now correctly works with collection visibility.

This PR also fixes the same issue for `Bone` and `bPoseChannel`

b143cc1885 I18N: Remove 'edit translation' features from the Blender UI.
This feature was not maintained for a long time already, and would have
required a lot of work to make it sensible and usable after 'recent'
changes (like the move to weblate translation platform).

1535ebff61 Fix: VSE waveform preview does not always clip too loud samples
For very low frequency sounds (the ones where waveform drawing goes into
"line mode"), either of min or max can go outside of -1..+1 range.
The code was assuming that only max could be above +1, and only min
could be below -1. Fix that, and also make "line mode" also apply
red "clipped" color when clipping happens.

fca4318e3c Fix: Wrong extra half-pixel width of VSE preview
While implementing preview snapping, I noticed an oddity with snapping
videos to view bounds, and found that the preview window's total v2d has
half a pixel of extra padded width.

The bug was introduced in fb5e2f5610, which added `roundf` calls to
numerous areas in the blender code to replace instances of adding `0.5`
and then casting to an integer.

One mistake in the patch was fixed shortly after in d122911d10, but the
other mistake has been unfixed until now. This fixes the glitchy
behavior with preview snapping and is also small enough to add to 4.2
LTS.

7b6ae7abbb Fix: VSE glitchy timeline snapping for small mouse movements around valid snap
The issue is that timeline snapping code does not set the transform
`values` to a rounded frame delta, instead, it adds the rounded distance
between current source and target points to the unrounded `values`
float, leaving it unrounded.

Since snapping code is only run on some `transform_modal` calls due to
"time base quirky code" in `transform_snap_mixed_apply`, sometimes
frames briefly show mouse input added to `values` causing the strip to
get transformed away from the snap target before the snap code is run
once again.

To fix this, set transform `values` to the exact rounded snap target
frame diff (like in node snapping) instead of expecting it to get
properly rounded for every call. Do this by changing
`tsnap->snap_source[0]` to the original snap source on `transformInit`,
not the updated snap source.

b11d8d2e74 Fix #121559: bad node tree zone visibility with frames
The fix is to support interleaving the drawing of zones and frames.
The draw order is determined by the width of the zones/frames.
Larger areas are drawn before smaller ones. This makes sure that
everything is as visible as possible.

The zone border outlines are still drawn on top of all frames.
Solving that is technically more challenging, because we don't want
to use transparency for zone backgrounds because that results in
many possible mixed colors which we want to avoid. Fortunately,
drawing the outlines on top seems to be quite useful anyway.

  as opposed to the verb to move things in space.
- "Parent" as a noun or verb (the parent of an object, to parent an
  object to another).

95eb3e13bf Fix #119211: Masks do not update in GPU compositor
Masks are not updated when edited when using the GPU compositor. That's
because the GPU compositor caches static resources and invalidates them
according to the recalculate flags that the depsgraph flushes to IDs.
The issue is that the flags are not flushed to the evaluated IDs of the
compositor depsgraph, but rather to some other evaluated versions of the
IDs.

To fix this, we make the compositor depsgraph persistent and store it in
the scene runtime. This allows us to reliably track changes to resources
used by the compositor and also reduces the overhead of depsgraph
creation in the compositor job.

c7bc6ba1f6 Fix #122421: Setting 'render border' is usually not undoable.
Render border is stored either in the current View3D data (UI data, not
undoable), or in Scene's render data when in camera view (only undoable
case).

This commit removes the `UNDO` flag of the related operators, and
instead manually pushes an undo step when executed in camera view.

b7cd88d502 Fix: VSE strip thumbnails sometimes go 1px outside of boundary
The VSE timeline strip thumbnail code seems to have at least two issues:

Sometimes the thumbnail would go 1px outside of the right side of the strip
itself. This seems to be caused by floating point inaccuracy where current
thumbnail position is tracked in "fractional timeline frames" instead of some
integers like pixels. The last, often clipped, thumbnail would thus spill over
outside of the strip. Fixed this by making sure the last pixel column of the
strip is not included into thumbnail drawing (pointless to draw there since it
is always covered by strip border).

Another problem was that the first thumbnail of the strip was often incorrectly
clipped and the last pixel from it was removed, and so it was leaving a pixel
gap between first and other thumbnails. This was under "Set the clipping bound
to show the left handle moving" comment, where due to inclusive range check it
was always causing the "clipped" part to be set to true for the first thumb.

Also while trying to untangle all of this, moved variables closer to their
usage. Some of them were only used inside the thumb loop but were declared in
whole function (probably coming from when it was C code).

e02e78d840 UI: Separate job type for asset library and file list loading
Asset library loading uses the file browser backend (file-list), so it
would use the same job type. The job system makes sure that jobs of the
same type (or actually, with the same start callback)
wait for others of the same type to finish. This can be a problem here,
since loading asset libraries (which can take a while) could conflict
with regular file browers. Having both run in parallel is no issue, they
use local data only.
