0c91ad9008 Fix #120175: File Output node has wrong BW output
The File Output node produces wrong output when the output is set to BW.
This is because the image saving logic assumes float buffers always have
4 channels and ignores the image buffer channels member. So for single
channel images, the code weighted sum neighbouring pixels and asigned
them as a single pixel, producing bleeding at best and crashes at worst.

To fix this, we skip Color to BW conversion if the image is already BW.
And, we fix the functions that assume 4 channels for float buffers.

2a892012be Render: correct buffer sizes for render cache paths
FILE_CACHE_MAX was meant to be larger than FILE_MAX to make room
for additional layers in the path. An error in the define used
`FILE_MAXFILE + FILE_MAXFILE` instead of `FILE_MAXDIR + FILE_MAXFILE`
causing the value to be smaller allowing a buffer overflow when passing
the string into BLI_path_abs.

Correct the define and call on the directory component before
the file is added so it doesn't clamp the string length unnecessarily.

Note that some values weren't correct since the original commit [0],
although [1] moved them to a shared incorrect define.

11c2028795 Render: Set non-color colorspace for ImBuf of data passes
This allows code outside of the render pipeline to make proper
decisions about how the imbuf of render passes are to be handled.

For example, IMB_create_gpu_texture() will now properly select
single channel grayscale texture format for depth pass coming from
multilayer EXR, additionally solving assert in the GPU compositor
code which verifies expected and actual imbuf texture format.

40035046ca Fix incorrect number of planes for ImBuf used for render passes
Set the number of planes based on the number of pass channels.

If the pass contains 2 passes or more than 4 passes set the number
of planes to the previously used value of 32.

This is needed because quite some areas check for the number of
planes for various optimizations. For example, this is one of the
factors which make IMB_create_gpu_texture() to choose the texture
format. If the number of planes for the depth pass is set to the
previously used this function will never consider using single
channel GPU texture.

Unfortunately, this change is not enough to make the GPU texture
to use single channel format as the color space of the image
buffer is also checked, and that is nullptr which means scene linear.

931c188ce5 Compositor: Refactor File Output node
This patches refactors the compositor File Output mechanism and
implements the file output node for the Realtime Compositor. The
refactor was done for the following reasons:

1. The existing file output mechanism relied on a global EXR image
resource where the result of each compositor execution for each
view was accumulated and stored in the global resource, until the
last view is executed, when the EXR is finally saved. Aside from
relying on global resources, this can cause effective memory leaks
since the compositor can be interrupted before the EXR is written and
   closed.
2. We need common code to share between all compositors since we now
   have multiple compositor implementations.
3. We needed to take the opportunity to fix some of the issues with the
existing implementation, like lossy compression of data passes,
and inability to save single values passes.

The refactor first introduced a new structure called the Compositor
Render Context. This context stores compositor information related to
the render pipeline and is persistent across all compositor executions
of all views. Its extended lifetime relative to a single compositor
execution lends itself well to store data that is accumulated across
views. The context currently has a map of File Output objects. Those
objects wrap a Render Result structure and can be used to construct
multi-view images which can then be saved after all views are executed
using the existing BKE_image_render_write function.

Minor adjustments were made to the BKE and RE modules to allow saving
using the BKE_image_render_write function. Namely, the function now
allows the use of a source image format for saving as well as the
ability to not save the render result as a render by introducing two new
default arguments. Further, for multi-layer EXR saving, the existent of
a single unnamed render layer will omit the layer name from the EXR
channel full name, and only the pass, view, and channel ID will remain.
Finally, the Render Result to Image Buffer conversion now take he number
of channels into account, instead of always assuming color channels.

The patch implements the File Output node in the Realtime Compositor
using the aforementioned mechanisms, replaces the implementation of the
CPU compositor using the same Realtime Compositor implementation, and
setup the necessary logic in the render pipeline code.

e955c94ed3 License Headers: Set copyright to "Blender Authors", add AUTHORS
Listing the "Blender Foundation" as copyright holder implied the Blender
Foundation holds copyright to files which may include work from many
developers.

While keeping copyright on headers makes sense for isolated libraries,
Blender's own code may be refactored or moved between files in a way
that makes the per file copyright holders less meaningful.

Copyright references to the "Blender Foundation" have been replaced with
"Blender Authors", with the exception of `./extern/` since these this
contains libraries which are more isolated, any changed to license
headers there can be handled on a case-by-case basis.

Some directories in `./intern/` have also been excluded:

- `./intern/cycles/` it's own `AUTHORS` file is planned.
- `./intern/opensubdiv/`.

An "AUTHORS" file has been added, using the chromium projects authors
file as a template.

d579ac2b3f Refactor: Use ImBuf to store passes in RenderResult
Doing so avoids having duplicated logic for working with pixel
data which is being passed throughout the render pipeline.

Notable changes:

- ImBug can now store GPU texture.
This is not very finished part of the API, which will be
worked further to support tiling for very-high-res images.

- Implicit sharing is removed from the image buffer, as it is
  no longer needed.

There should be no functional changes on user level with this
change.

e1b60fdb91 Remove Z Buffer from ImBuf
It was only used by OpenEXR and Iris images, and saving the Z Buffer
in those formats was disabled by default. This option comes from the
times prior to the addition of the Multilayer EXR.

It also worth noting that it was not possible to save Iris with Depth
pass from Blender as internally it is called IRIZ format and it was
not exposed. But even after exposing this format option something still
was missing as saving and loading ITIZ did not show up the Depth pass.

The reason of removal is to make it a more clear match of the ImBuf
with a render pass, and use it instead of a custom type in the render
result and render pass API. This will simplify the API and also avoid
stealing buffers and making shallow copies when showing the render
result.

For the cases when Depth is needed a Multilayer EXR is to be used,
as most likely more than just the Depth will be needed.

On a user level this change:

- Removes the "Z Buffer" option from the interface.

- It preserves existing sockets in compositor nodes, but it will
output black image. Also changing the image data-block will
remove the socket unless a Multilayer EXR with Depth pass image
  is selected.

- Removes "Depth" socket of the Viewer and Composite nodes.

c1bc70b711 Cleanup: Add a copyright notice to files and use SPDX format
A lot of files were missing copyright field in the header and
the Blender Foundation contributed to them in a sense of bug
fixing and general maintenance.

This change makes it explicit that those files are at least
partially copyrighted by the Blender Foundation.

Note that this does not make it so the Blender Foundation is
the only holder of the copyright in those files, and developers
who do not have a signed contract with the foundation still
hold the copyright as well.

Another aspect of this change is using SPDX format for the
header. We already used it for the license specification,
and now we state it for the copyright as well, following the

a5677d225b Refactor Render Result to allow implicit buffer sharing
Allows to share buffer data between the render result and image buffers.

The storage of the passes and buffers in the render result have been
wrapped into utility structures, with functions to operate on them.

Currently only image buffers which are sharing buffers with the render
results are using the implicit sharing. This allows proper decoupling of
the image buffers from the lifetime of the underlying render result.

Fixes #107248: Compositor ACCESS VIOLATION when updating datablocks from handlers

Additionally, this lowers the memory usage of multi-layer EXR sequences
by avoiding having two copies of render passes in memory.

It is possible to use implicit sharing in more places, but needs
some API to ensure the render result is the only owner of data before
writing to its pixels.

406cfd214a Refactor ImBuf buffer access
The goal is to make it more explicit and centralized operation to
assign and steal buffer data, with proper ownership tracking.

The buffers and ownership flags are wrapped into their dedicated
structures now.

There should be no functional changes currently, it is a preparation
for allowing implicit sharing of the ImBuf buffers. Additionally, in
the future it is possible to more buffer-specific information (such
as color space) next to the buffer data itself. It is also possible
to clean up the allocation flags (IB_rect, ...) to give them more
clear naming and not have stored in the ImBuf->flags as they are only
needed for allocation.

The most dangerous part of this change is the change of byte buffer
data from `int*` to `uint8_t*`. In a lot of cases the byte buffer was
cast to `uchar*`, so those casts are now gone. But some code is
operating on `int*` so now there are casts in there. In practice this
should be fine, since we only support 64bit platforms, so allocations
are aligned. The real things to watch out for here is the fact that
allocation and offsetting from the byte buffer now need an explicit 4
channel multiplier.

Once everything is C++ it will be possible to simplify public
functions even further.

a12a8a71bb Remove "All Rights Reserved" from Blender Foundation copyright code
The goal is to solve confusion of the "All rights reserved" for licensing
code under an open-source license.

The phrase "All rights reserved" comes from a historical convention that
required this phrase for the copyright protection to apply. This convention
is no longer relevant.

However, even though the phrase has no meaning in establishing the copyright
it has not lost meaning in terms of licensing.

This change makes it so code under the Blender Foundation copyright does
not use "all rights reserved". This is also how the GPL license itself
states how to apply it to the source code:

<one line to give the program's name and a brief idea of what it does.>
    Copyright (C) <year> <name of author>

This program is free software ...

This change does not change copyright notice in cases when the copyright
is dual (BF and an author), or just an author of the code. It also does
mot change copyright which is inherited from NaN Holding BV as it needs
some further investigation about what is the proper way to handle it.

3411a96e74 Fix T93382: Blender still generates subsurface render passes
In T93382, the problem was that the Blender-side rendering code was
still generating the subsurface passes because the old render pass
flags were set, even though Cycles doesn't generate them anymore.

After a closer look, it turns out that the entire hardcoded pass
creation code can be removed. We already have an Engine API function
to query the list of render passes from the engine, so we might as
well just call that and create the returned passes.

Turns out that Eevee already did this anyways. On the Cycles side, it
allows to deduplicate a lot of `BlenderSync::sync_render_passes`.
Before, passes were defined in engine.py and in sync.cpp. Now, all
passes that engine.py returns are created automatically, so sync.cpp
only needs to handle a few special cases.

I'm not really concerned about affecting external renderer addons,
since they already needed to handle the old "builtin passes" in
their Engine API implementation anyways to make them show up in the
compositor. So, unless they missed that for like 10 releases, they
should not notice any difference.
