8077384e3a Cycles: Improve Metal kernel specialisation
This improves the existing scene specialisation mechanism by replacing "kernel_data.kernel_features" with a function constant. It doesn't cause any additional compilation requests, but allows the backend compiler to eliminate more dead code. An additional compiler hint is provided for dead-stripping "volume_stack_enter_exit" which results in slightly faster rendering of non-volumetric scenes.

dd51c8660b Refactor: Cycles: Add const keyword where possible, using clang-tidy
Check was misc-const-correctness, combined with readability-isolate-declaration
as suggested by the docs.

Temporarily clang-format "QualifierAlignment: Left" was used to get consistency
with the prevailing order of keywords.

99f5433445 Cycles: Dormant fixes for adaptive feature compilation
This PR fixes the (currently unused) scene-based selective feature compilation macros. These feature based macros haven't been used for a few years, and enabling them currently results in compilation errors.

The only functional change in this PR is in geom/primitive.h where undef-ing `__HAIR__` had exposed an inconsistency in how pointcloud attributes were being fetched. Using the more general `primitive_surface_attribute_float4` (instead of `curve_attribute_float4`) fixed a compilation error that occurred when rendering pointcloud unit test scenes with adaptive compilation enabled.

91d365f6df Fix T100205: Cycles wrong volume shading with two materials in object
Assume that all faces using the smae material form a closed mesh, so that
joining meshes gives the same result as separate meshes.

It does mean that using different materials on different sides of one
closed mesh do not work, but the meaning of that is poorly defined anyway
if there is a volume interior.

ff1883307f Cleanup: renaming and consistency for kernel data
* Rename "texture" to "data array". This has not used textures for a long time,
there are just global memory arrays now. (On old CUDA GPUs there was a cache
for textures but not global memory, so we used to put all data in textures.)
* For CUDA and HIP, put globals in KernelParams struct like other devices.
* Drop __ prefix for data array names, no possibility for naming conflict now that
  these are in a struct.

9cfc7967dd Cycles: use SPDX license headers
* Replace license text in headers with SPDX identifiers.
* Remove specific license info from outdated readme.txt, instead leave details
  to the source files.
* Add list of SPDX license identifiers used, and corresponding license texts.
* Update copyright dates while we're at it.

64003fa4b0 Cycles: Adapt volumetric lambda functions to work on MSL
This patch adapts the existing volumetric read/write lambda functions for Metal. Lambda expressions are not supported on MSL, so two new macros `VOLUME_READ_LAMBDA` and `VOLUME_WRITE_LAMBDA` have been defined with a default implementation which, on Metal, is overridden to use inline function objects.

This patch also removes the last remaining mention of the now-unused `ccl_addr_space`.

fd25e883e2 Cycles: remove prefix from source code file names
Remove prefix of filenames that is the same as the folder name. This used
to help when #includes were using individual files, but now they are always
relative to the cycles root directory and so the prefixes are redundant.

For patches and branches, git merge and rebase should be able to detect the
renames and move over code to the right file.
