8528feb7ee Cleanup: replace some spinlocks with atomics or mutexes
- ImBuf reference counting: turn that into just an atomic integer
- Cachefile safety: turn into a mutex, since work under the spinlock
was quite heavy (hashtable creation, other memory allocations)
- Movie clip editor: turn into a mutex, since work under the spinlock
was very heavy (reading files from disk, etc.)
- Mesh intersect: remove the previously commented out spinlock path;
replace BLI mutex with C++ mutex for shorter code

a08246a1a2 Refactor: Move VSE code to namespaces
This PR creates 2 namespaces for VSE code:
- `blender::seq` for sequencer core code
- `blender::ed::vse` for editor code

These names are chosen to not be in conflict with each other.
No namespace was used for RNA.

Finally, file `BKE_sequencer_offscreen.h` was moved from BKE to sequencer.

f5d56a3124 GPU: Add --profile-gpu
Add a `--profile-gpu` launch argument.

When set, it generates a profile in the Trace Event Format with CPU and
GPU metrics based on GPU debug scopes.
https://profilerpedia.markhansen.co.nz/formats/trace-event-format/

The profiles are best viewed at https://ui.perfetto.dev/

Notes:
- The profiler captures everything form app start to exit.
- Being JSON based the profiles can become relatively large, but they
  compress very well.
- Only OpenGL profiling is supported for now, but the report formatting
code can be shared across backends.

e99252d7fd Refactor: more cleanups and renamed to movie/ffmpeg related files
- All movie related public headers now have MOV_ prefix instead of
  IMB_movie_.
- All movie related public functions now have MOV_ prefix as well,
  instead of IMB_movie_ or IMB_anim_.
- IMB_anim.hh -> MOV_read.hh (also ImBufAnim -> MovieReader), and
various utility functions not related to playback were split off
  into MOV_util.hh.
- Other function name tweaks for clarity, e.g. IMB_suffix_anim
  -> MOV_set_multiview_suffix and so on.
- All except one usages of MOV_get_fps (nee IMB_anim_get_fps) were
ultimately just converting returned value into a float. So make
MOV_get_fps just return that directly. For the (exactly just one)
place that needs numerator and denominator, have
  MOV_get_fps_num_denom.
- Code comments on the public header functions.
- Removed never-used code paths inside movie timecode proxy building
  file.

It might be easier to review each commit separately.

974efe7d23 Refactor: move ffmpeg/video related code into one place
Previously, code related to reading/writing movie files via ffmpeg was
scattered around: some under blenkernel, some directly in generic
imbuf headers, some under intern/ffmpeg. Some of the files were named
with not exactly clear names. Some parts not directly related to movies
were including ffmpeg headers directly (rna_scene.cc).

What is in this PR:

Movie and ffmpeg related code is now under imbuf/movie:
- IMB_anim.hh: movie reading, proxy querying, various utility functions.
- IMB_movie_enums.hh: simple enum definitions,
- IMB_movie_write.hh: movie writing functions.
- intern: actual implementation and private headers.
    - ffmpeg_compat.h: various ffmpeg version difference handling
      utilities,
    - ffmpeg_swscale.hh/cc: scaling and format conversion utilities
      for ffmpeg libswscale,
    - ffmpeg_util.hh/cc: misc utilities related to ffmpeg,
    - movie_proxy_indexer.hh/cc: proxies and timecode indexing for movies,
    - movie_read.hh/cc: decoding of movies into images,
    - movie_write.cc: encoding of images into movies.
- tests: basic ffmpeg library unit tests that previously
  lived under intern/ffmpeg.

Interface changes (at C++ level, no Python API changes):
- Mostly just movie related functions that were BKE_ previously, are now IMB_.
- I did one large-ish change though, and that is to remove bMovieHandle
struct that had pointers to several functions. Now that is
  IMB_movie_write_begin, IMB_movie_write_append, IMB_movie_write_end
functions using a single opaque struct handle. As a result, usages
of that in pipeline.cc and render_opengl.cc have changed.

11a99fb2b1 Fix #130463, #114592: VSE prefetching uses wrong font for text strips
Prefetching happens on a background thread by design, and so it was not loading
any fonts and using the default monospace font.

Address this by making all font usage within VSE use "unique" BLF font objects,
and protecting concurrent access to them or their state within VSE itself:

- SeqFontMap structure to hold a mutex, file path -> font ID map (for file
based fonts), name -> font ID map (for datablock fonts).
- seq_load_font_file, seq_load_font_mem, seq_unload_font that use the above
instead of calling into BLF directly.
- Text effect rendering part guards with a mutex, so that font render state and
glyph cache does not get trashed.
- SeqFontMap is global instead of some Scene-specific runtime data (e.g.
scene->ed), because right now there's a hard max limit of total number of
fonts (64), and if each copy of the VSE data would start to load their own
unique fonts, that limit could get easily reached.
- BLF font loading/unloading code is now thread safe. The rest of BLF drawing
  is still not!

If at some point in the future BLF font usage becomes thread safe, and font
drawing becomes "stateless", this whole machinery can be removed.

48d55fb420 UI: Always Show Version Patch Level
PR #125332 made changes to the format of the version string displayed
on the title bar and in status bar. These changes included not showing
the patch level if zero. Unfortunately this also changes the version
as displayed on the command-line with "--version". This particular
change was approved quite hastily so this PR just reverses that, always
shows zero patch level and therefore shows the command-line version as
before. If we want to hide patch zero we can debate this specifically
later.

a6ebfb05ad UI: Option to store enabled asset shelf catalogs in preferences
Adds a new asset shelf option (`STORE_ENABLED_CATALOGS_IN_PREFERENCES`
option in RNA) to use the Preferences for storing the enabled catalogs.
This way asset shelf types can decide if for their use-case, they want
to synchronize the enabled catalogs over Blender sessions and files, or
keep the stored locally in the file.

This is important because for example on one hand, it would be annoying
if for brush assets you'd have to enable the visible catalog tabs for
every 3D View and every file, while on the other hand you need that
level of control for the pose library where the catalogs the rigger/
animator cares about varies from project to project, character to
character and shot to shot.

Conceptually this also makes some sense: The new brush assets workflow
synchronizes brush assets and their catalogs across Blender sessions
and files, basically making them globally accessible independent of
the current file/project, so treating the enabled catalogs the same
is consistent.

ffbc90874b ffmpeg: cache swscale contexts instead of re-creating them
ffmpeg's libswscale is used to do RGB<->YUV conversions on movie reading
and writing. The "context" for the scale operation was being created
and destroyed for each movie clip / animation. Now, maintain a cache
of the scale contexts instead.

E.g. in Gold edit, it only ever needs two contexts (one for reading
source movie clips since they are all exactly the same resolution
and format; and one for rendering the resulting movie).

During playback, on some of the "slow" frames (camera cuts) this
saves 10-20ms (Windows, Ryzen 5950X). Rendering whole movie goes
from 390sec to 376sec.

31cb31d736 PyAPI: add-on name-spacing for extension repositories
Support name-spaced add-ons, exposed via user configurable extension
repositories.

Directories for add-ons can be added at run-time and are name-spaced to
avoid name-collisions with Python modules or add-ons from other
repositories.

This is exposed as an experimental feature "Extension Repositories".

Details:

- A `bUserExtensionRepo` type which represents a repository which is
  listed in the add-ons repository.

- `JunctionModuleHandle` class to manage a package with sub-modules
which can point to arbitrary locations.

- `bpy.app.handlers._extension_repos_update_{pre/post}` internal
callbacks run before/after changes to extension repositories,
callbacks are used to sync the changes to the Python package that
  exposes these to add-ons.

- The size of an add-on name has been increased so a user-defined package
prefix can be included without enforcing shorter add-on names.

- Functionality relating to package management has been left out of this
change and will be developed separately.

Further work:

- While a repository can be renamed, enabled add-ons aren't renamed.
Eventually we might want to support this although we could also
disallow renaming repositories with add-ons enabled as the name isn't
  all that significant.

- Removing a repository should remove all the add-ons located in this
  repository.

- Sub-module names are currently restricted to `[A-Za-z]+[A-Za-z0-9_]*`
we might want to relax this to allow unicode characters (we might
still want to disallow `-` or any characters that would prevent
  attribute access in code).
