9e4c26574a VSE: new cache implementation
Rework internals of how VSE caching is done. Primarily to make all the
caching logic more understandable from development point of view, but
also has several user visible implications (more details in the PR):
- Simpler and fewer caching UI options,
- Disk cache is gone (primary reason: proxies are kinda the same thing),
- VSE cache size set in preferences is actual size used for VSE caches
now (previously caching stopped as soon as whole Blender used that
much memory, even if some memory usage was not about VSE at all),
- Certain scenarios of cache invalidation are faster now.

4e596d18c1 Fix #138201: Read, write, and copy pose marker custom properties
Custom properties on pose markers in Actions were not handled properly
in the following ways:

- They were not written to or read from blend files, which resulted in
  crashes (reported in #138201).
- They were not duplicated when the pose marker lists were duplicated
(during Action duplication), which would leave the duplicate marker
*sharing* custom properties with the marker it was duplicated from.

This PR fixes these issues by creating functions to handle the reading,
writing, and copying of marker lists which properly read/write/copy
custom properties as well, and using those functions in the relevant
places.

2ab59859c9 Cleanup: VSE: Replace remaining seq and sequence references
Ref: #132179

Renames:
- `Editing.act_seq` -> `Editing.act_strip`
- `SequenceModifierData` -> `StripModifierData`
  - Its member `mask_sequence` is now `mask_strip`.
- `MetaStack.parseq` -> `MetaStack.parent_strip`
- Remaining function names/parameters that were not dealt with in #132748
- Various references to `seq` or `sequence` throughout code and docs when
  referring to a strip

Also moves `_get` to the end of the renamed function names where
applicable for standardization (unless "by" or "from" are used).

There should be no changes to current behavior.

af1110fb3c Render: support pixel density in the render pipeline
Add a "Pixel Density" sub-panel to render output settings which
can be used to set the density (as pixels per inch for example).

This is then written to images that support pixel density.

Details:

- The scene has two values a PPM factor and a and base unit.
- The base unit defaults to pixels per inch as this is the most
  common unit used.
- Unit presets for pixels per inch/centimeter/meter are included.
- The pixel density is stored in the render result & EXR cache.
- For non 1:1 aspect renders, the density increases on the axis
which looks "stretched", so the PPM will print the correct
  aspect with non-square pixels.

299a581b1b Grease Pencil: Accumulation Anti-aliasing
This adds a new more accurate antialiasing to the Grease Pencil
render engine. This is only available for render.

This Accumulation AA doesn't replace the SMAA. SMAA is still
used by the viewport and for removing aliasing from the
depth buffer. However, using both at the same time can lead
to overblurred result.

Here are some measurements for how much the render time
increases compared to the baseline with different (SSAA) sample
counts (using an example production file, rendered at 1080p,
results might vary depending on the scene complexity):
* 8 samples: +0.14 s
* 16 samples +0.36 s
* 32 samples: +0.58 s

7aced80eec Cleanup: blenkernel: Replace 'void' MEM_[cm]allocN with templated, type-safe MEM_[cm]allocN<T>.
The main issue of 'type-less' standard C allocations is that there is no check on
allocated type possible.

This is a serious source of annoyance (and crashes) when making some
low-level structs non-trivial, as tracking down all usages of these
structs in higher-level other structs and their allocation is... really
painful.

MEM_[cm]allocN<T> templates on the other hand do check that the
given type is trivial, at build time (static assert), which makes such issue...
trivial to catch.

NOTE: New code should strive to use MEM_new (i.e. allocation and
construction) as much as possible, even for trivial PoD types.

955e02c90d Fix: Duplicating a Scene does not remove animation from slotted actions
When duplicating a scene in any way other than Full Copy, the VSE data
is (apparently) not copied along. To prevent dangling F-Curves, any
animation of sequencer strips is removed. This is now done correctly for
slotted Actions, instead of looping over the legacy `action->curves`
field.

Also the F-Curve RNA path that's being tested for is updated. Instead of
deleting all F-Curves with `sequences` in the name, the code now
correctly looks for `sequence_editor.strips_all`.

dd168a35c5 Refactor: Replace MEM_cnew with a type-aware template version of MEM_callocN.
The general idea is to keep the 'old', C-style MEM_callocN signature, and slowly
replace most of its usages with the new, C++-style type-safer template version.

* `MEM_cnew<T>` allocation version is renamed to `MEM_callocN<T>`.
* `MEM_cnew_array<T>` allocation version is renamed to `MEM_calloc_arrayN<T>`.
* `MEM_cnew<T>` duplicate version is renamed to `MEM_dupallocN<T>`.

Similar templates type-safe version of `MEM_mallocN` will be added soon
as well.

Following discussions in !134452.

NOTE: For now static type checking in `MEM_callocN` and related are slightly
different for Windows MSVC. This compiler seems to consider structs using the
`DNA_DEFINE_CXX_METHODS` macro as non-trivial (likely because their default
copy constructors are deleted). So using checks on trivially
constructible/destructible instead on this compiler/system.

c988a04802 Fix #134120: Crash evaluating rigid body in animation render
This shared state between original data and depsgraphs was added in
98a0bcd425. Other physics systems also share
the pointcache, but not the simulation state to this extent, which leads
to this kind of crash.

The mutex lock is not a great solution, you don't really want both render and viewport to be filling the same cache in parallel. However
this kind of problem also exists in other physics systems, and solving
that is certainly beyond the scope of 4.4, and probably needs to wait
for a bigger physics rewrite. In general the recommendation is to bake
everything before rendering.

655a17a6ab Refactor: VSE: Rename Sequence to Strip
This renames the struct `Sequence` to `Strip`.

While the motivation for this partially comes from
the "Sequence Design" #131329, it seems like this
is a good refactor whether the design gets implemented
or not.

The `Sequence` represents what users see as strips in the
VSE. Many places in the code already refere to a `Sequence`
as "strip". It's the C-style "base class" of all strip types.

This also renames the python RNA type `bpy.types.Sequence`
to `bpy.types.Strip` which means that this technically breaks
the python API.

efd2e762f7 Refactor: Core, give the IDWALK_CB_… enum an explicit name
Give the `IDWALK_CB_…` enum an explicit name:
`LibraryForeachIDCallbackFlag`. This way the flags are type-safe, and
it's known where values come from. This is much preferred (at least by
me) to just having `int flags`.

Uses of `0` have been replaced with `IDWALK_CB_NOP` as that has the same
value and is of the right type.

One invalid use of `IDWALK_NOP` was detected by this change, and is
replaced by `IDWALK_CB_NOP`.

This change might be incomplete; I gave the enum a name, fixed the
compiler errors, and then also updated assignments like `int cb_flag =
cb_data->cb_flag`. I might have missed some assignments to `int` though.

No functional changes.

3ef748789d Refactor: Core, give the IDWALK_… enums an explicit name
Two commits that basically do the same thing for two `enum`s: give
them a name.

- the `IDWALK_…` enum → `LibraryForeachIDFlag`.
- the `IDWALK_CB_…` enum → `LibraryForeachIDCallbackFlag`.

This way the flags are type-safe, and it's known where values come
from. This is much preferred (at least by me) to just having `int
flags`.

Uses of `0` have been replaced with `IDWALK_NOP` and `IDWALK_CB_NOP`,
as those have the same value and are of the right type.

One invalid use of `IDWALK_NOP` was detected by this change, and is
replaced by `IDWALK_CB_NOP`. And another one in the opposite
direction.

This change might be incomplete; I gave the enum a name, fixed the
compiler errors, and then also updated assignments like `int cb_flag =
cb_data->cb_flag`. I might have missed some assignments to `int`
though.

No functional changes.

----------

I intend to land this PR as its two separate commits. I just put them in the same PR so the buildbot can handle them in one go, and we don't have a stack of highly relatled PRs.

In the future this could also apply to the `IDWALK_RET_…` enum. This one I left out, though, because a proper cleanup there would also have to include their ambiguity on whether they are bitflags (like the enums in this PR) or not. Their values and the code in `BKE_lib_query_foreachid_process()` implies they are bitflags, but in practice they are never or'ed together and just used as discrete values.

3c4e46f067 Refactor: Blenloader: simplify API for BLO_Write_IDBuffer
This replaces the existing C API of `BLO_Write_IDBuffer` with a C++ API. This
helps because:
* No need for explicit freeing.
* Can use more generic `DynamicStackBuffer` utility instead of having a separate
  implementation of that.

Additionally, the API is changed so that a new `BLO_Write_IDBuffer` is created
for each `ID` instead of reusing the same for multiple IDs. This simplifies the
code quite a bit and allows for better use of the RAII pattern.

I expect the performance to be the same as before. In theory, there could be a
small speedup, because the `BLO_Write_IDBuffer` is not allocated separately
anymore, but that should be negligible.

No functional changes are expected.

64198971ea Fix: Reading some old blend files fires assert in Sequencer data read
wdas_cloud.blend file on 4.3+ raises an assert, due to reading some
VSE data:

  readfile.cc:4798, blo_verify_data_address(), at
  'MEM_allocN_len(new_address) >= expected_size' Corrupt .blend
  file, unexpected data size.

This is caused by 30dbb7820d which removed completely unused
data from Sequence struct. But it turns out, Sequence serialization
inside scene_blend_read_data is "somewhat strange", to put it mildly,
and silently assumes that struct offset of seqbase and channels
will never change.

For now, restore the previously expected struct member offset,
ensure it stays like that via static_assert, and add notes on
how someone should fix this in a better way.

99674e36f1 Fix #128551: Distorted cropped render in GPU compositor
Enabling render cropping while using the GPU compositor can cause the
render to be distorted in certain resolution and border configurations.

This is due to a difference in how the compositor and the render
pipeline compute the effective bordered size of the render. While
mathematically identical, difference in rounding can cause off by one
errors in the computed size. The render pipeline computes the integer
bounds of the border then computes the size from that, while the
compositor multiplies the float size of the border to the full size of
the render.

To fix this, we adjust the BKE_render_resolution function to compute the
border size using integer bounds like the render pipeline, which is the
function used by the compositor. The cropped version of that function is
used in two other places in the image editor for displaying render
results, so we should expect no difference in outputs with minimal but
more accurate difference in display.

index within media file, and any extra data (e.g. steam index
      for multi-steam videos)
- Much reduced cache flickering and strange/weird thumbnail choices.
    - Likewise, thumbnails no longer disappear-and-reload on operations
like Undo, dragging new video strip into timeline, or F12 render.
- Thumbnails now load faster.
    - Images use dedicated/faster thumbnail loading routines when a
format can do that (e.g. JPG and EXR can).
    - Movies reuse ffmpeg decoding context for neighboring strips
that use the same file (as often happens when cutting footage)
    - Thumbnail requests are processed on several threads now too.
