- add examples for custom-data access
- group BMesh types logically in docs
- added missing docstrings
needed to add grouping functionality to sphinx for this.
- More angular velocity modes to support creative effects.
- Renamed "Initial Rotation" to "Initial Orientation" to better reflect the functionality
- Renamed "Spin" angular velocity mode to "Velocity".
- Organized the rotation panel a bit better.
- Also some better names and tooltips for the different rotation values.
- The main problem was that in order to be accurate all particle
rotations have to be calculated incrementally so the only working
solution is to store rotations to the point cache (previously
this was only done for dynamic rotations). This can nearly double
the point cache size so it's not ideal to have this as a default
as in many cases you don't care about particle rotations.
- Particle rotation panel now has a new "enable" checkbox that
enables rotation calculations and the storing of rotations to
point cache.
- Old files will have rotations enabled via do_versions so that in
the worst case old files will only get bigger point caches, but no
sudden loss of particle rotations.
Most of the tool code was already in place, only significant
functionality change is that anchored stroke works now.
TODO:
* Gave it a new icon, but could use a better one
* Default .blend should have a clay strips brush
Note about long lines: I did not touch to two pieces of code (because I don’t see any way to keep a nicely formated, compact code, with shorter lines):
* The node types definitions into rna_nodetree_types.h
* The vgroup name functions into rna_particle.c
old mesh MCol 'r' was blue, 'b' was red, but theres no reason to keep this for bmesh with MLoopCol.
Loading old files works, saving legacy format works too.
What wont work is loading a file after this revision and loading it in an older revision since the bmesh merge.
(it wont crash but the blue and red will be swapped on vertex color layers).
Adds conformation on exit for windows. Needs to be enabled in user perf.
Tried to edit blender.exe.manifest for more modern dialog look, but didn't work out.
The fact is, operators' label are nearly always verbs, while properties labels are nearly always nouns. So this should already solve many translations' problems regarding noun/verb confusion.
This commit also simplifies a bit i18n usage:
*Now IFACE_ and TIP_ macros (or there context versions, CTX_IFACE_/TIP_) are used nearly everywhere (with one exception, where code is a bit complex and needs to manually test whether ui/tip translations is allowed, so no need to redo it later through those macros).
*Also, those macros are now defined to NOP in case WITH_INTERNATIONAL is false, which avoid testing that define everywhere in code!
this is no big improvement but at least its not a regression.
using the new operator for the bevel modifier can be enabled again be uncommenting a define.
Added a new RNA-only nested structure, Brush.SculptCapabilities. It
contains read-only properties that use the current sculpt tool (and
occasionally other brush properties) to determine whether some feature
is available.
For example, the grab and snake-hook brushes don't support the
strength property. Querying brush.sculpt_capabilities.has_strength
will return false only if one of these brushes is selected.
- tessface vertex color had the wrong sized array passing to rna_iterator_array_begin
- re-calculating tessface's would clear them if they were already created (own mistake)
- ED_mesh_color_add initialized tessface vertex colors from the loop color array
also made rna's mesh.tessface_vertex_colors.new() work like tessface_uv_textures.new()
where layers can be added as long as polygons are not present.
- edgebisect bmesh operator used uninialized beauty field.
- BLI_join_dirfile could read from before the string bounds when passed an empty dir string.
- pransform could use an uninitialized projected coordinate (unlikely but possible)
- RNA_property_path_from_ID_check would compare against an uninitialized pointer when the path wasn't found.
also have bmesh walker use BM_edge_other_vert() utility function.
World Context:
* Made world id block wider
* Don't show texture user when Cycles engine is used
Other:
* Change Dopesheet > DopeSheet in User Preferences Theme section for consistency.
existing "Equirectangular". This projection is useful to create light probes
from a chrome ball placed in a real scene. It expects as input a photograph of
the chrome ball, cropped so the ball just fits inside the image boundaries.
Example setup with panorama camera and mixing two (poor quality) photographs
from different viewpoints to avoid stretching and hide the photographer:

*Add a new idname to keyingsets, keeping name as label-only (using same string for both made lookup fail when using i18n other than english, as it tried to compare an untranslated static string id against a translated RNA name). Also adding a description string (can be helpful with custom keyingsets, imho).
*Fixed a few other bugs related to that area (namely, you can’t deselect current keyingset from the shift-ctrl-alt-I popup menu, and insert/delete key ops were using a rather strange way to get chosen custom keyingset…).
*Fixed UI code so that it always uses (RNA) enum, and simplified menu-creation code.
Internally vector and waveform opacities are stored as float in 0..1 range
and the same range is exposed to the UI.
From file compatibility POV decided to change prop's type from percentage
to factor so it'll be nice slider with 0..1 range without confusing percentage
symbols (which should be quite easy to follow) and both forward and backwards
compatibilities are here.
add the function to create new UV layers, this only works when there are no polygon layers already created (to prevent confusion since scripts with polygon layers should be adding MTexPoly and MLoopUV layers)
Issue was caused by missing fdata for meshes which doesn't have tessellated
faces yet. Real fix would be to use loop's MLOOPUV layer, but currently interface
is using mtex layer names for UV lists so use poly's mtex layer to check if
layer name is indeed correct.
Should work fine until we'll separate setting textures and UV coordinates.

Setting Screen.scene only uses the active screen through a call to CTX_wm_screen(C) instead of the actual referenced scene.
The attached py-op demonstrates this behavior, assuming at least two separate scenes in the VSE.
and 5 float image textures. For CPU render this limit will be lifted later
on with image cache support. Patch by Mike Farnsworth.
Also changed color space option in image/environment texture node, to show
options Color and Non-Color Data, instead of sRGB and Linear, this is more
descriptive, and it was not really correct to equate Non-Color Data with
Linear.
