7dc19e0bc7 use __restrict for string functions args so the compiler can assume they dont overlap.
also avoid comparing int/size_t in for loops.

c3ca19800c refactor screen foreach functions to accept float[2] arguments rather then int pairs.
overall means less converting between float and int (and short in some cases).

c001bd81a7 Color Management: fixed loading configuration from non-ascii paths
Used the same hack as BLI gzip is using -- calculate short path and

db70bfc206 code cleanup: use functions to initialize selection user data structs, use radius-squared for circle select comparisons.
edge_fully_inside_rect() & edge_inside_rect() args were shorts when all callers were passing ints.

168ffbfb67 Revert changes made to support diffuse color when sculpting
This changes are not stable enough and trying fix it could backfire in some
other regressions which isn't wanted so much close to the release.

This means objects will have gray color as diffuse which becomes darker in
masked areas for 2.64.

Proper fix is aimed for 2.65.

This commit reverts 50827 and 50898.

b0bf816ece fix [#32646] Duplifaces can have wrong orientation with ngons
concave ngons could flip the dupliface, now use the faces normal when calculating the dupli-face.

2637efa2a3 Fix #32522: Object's diffuse color not showing in Sculpt Mode
It was missing since sculpting mask implementation.

Now object's color would be multiplied by sculpt mask value.

For VBOs it's done by storing final color in VertexBufferFormat and
mimic behavior of setMaterial callback for getting current diffuse
color.

For non-VBOs diffuse color is getting from current OpenGL context.

edb78d090c code cleanup:
- make view3d project names more consistent.
- remove apply_project_float() its not needed.

a73dd3476e Color Management, Stage 2: Switch color pipeline to use OpenColorIO
Replace old color pipeline which was supporting linear/sRGB color spaces
only with OpenColorIO-based pipeline.

This introduces two configurable color spaces:

- Input color space for images and movie clips. This space is used to convert
  images/movies from color space in which file is saved to Blender's linear
  space (for float images, byte images are not internally converted, only input
  space is stored for such images and used later).

  This setting could be found in image/clip data block settings.

- Display color space which defines space in which particular display is working.

  This settings could be found in scene's Color Management panel.

When render result is being displayed on the screen, apart from converting image
to display space, some additional conversions could happen.

This conversions are:

- View, which defines tone curve applying before display transformation.
  These are different ways to view the image on the same display device.
  For example it could be used to emulate film view on sRGB display.

- Exposure affects on image exposure before tone map is applied.

- Gamma is post-display gamma correction, could be used to match particular
  display gamma.

- RGB curves are user-defined curves which are applying before display
  transformation, could be used for different purposes.

All this settings by default are only applying on render result and does not
affect on other images. If some particular image needs to be affected by this
transformation, "View as Render" setting of image data block should be set to
truth. Movie clips are always affected by all display transformations.

This commit also introduces configurable color space in which sequencer is
working. This setting could be found in scene's Color Management panel and
it should be used if such stuff as grading needs to be done in color space
different from sRGB (i.e. when Film view on sRGB display is use, using VD16
space as sequencer's internal space would make grading working in space
which is close to the space using for display).

Some technical notes:

- Image buffer's float buffer is now always in linear space, even if it was
  created from 16bit byte images.

- Space of byte buffer is stored in image buffer's rect_colorspace property.

- Profile of image buffer was removed since it's not longer meaningful.

- OpenGL and GLSL is supposed to always work in sRGB space. It is possible
  to support other spaces, but it's quite large project which isn't so
  much important.

- Legacy Color Management option disabled is emulated by using None display.
  It could have some regressions, but there's no clear way to avoid them.

- If OpenColorIO is disabled on build time, it should make blender behaving
  in the same way as previous release with color management enabled.

e75f5c8208 quiet -Wmissing-prototypes warnings, and enable this warning by default for C with gcc.
helps for finding unused functions and making functions static, also did some minor code cleanup.

a0ae47f06c add some missing NULL checks, a few parts of the code used a pointer then checked it for NULL after.
also made it more clear that some areas assume the pointer isnt null (remove redundant NULL checks).

13254cde8c Alternate mask spline feather offset calculation method: now there are 2 [Even | Smooth]
- Even preserves thickness but can give unsightly loops
- Smooth gives nicer shape but can give unsightly feather/spline mismatch for 'S' shapes created by beziers.

This is an example where smooth works much nicer.

1b487e9948 Some FFmpeg changes
- Make FFmpeg initialization called from creator, not from functions
  which requires FFmpeg. Makes it easier to follow when initialization
  should happen.

- Enable DNxHD codec. It was commented a while ago due to some strange
  behavior on some platforms. Re-tested it on Linux and Windows and
  it seemd to be working quite nice. Would let it be tested further,
  if it wouldn't be stable enough, easy to comment it again.

- Make non-error messages from writeffmpeg.c printed only if ffmpeg
  debug argument was passed to blender. Reduces console pollution
  with messages which are not useful for general troubleshooting.
  Error messages would still be printed to the console.

- Show FFmpeg error message when video stream failed to allocate.
  makes it easier to understand what exactly is wrong from Blender
  interface, no need to restart blender with FFmpeg debug flag and
  check for console messages.

  Used custom log callback for this which stores last error message
  in static variable. This is not thread safe, but with current
  design FFmpeg routines could not be called form several threads
  anyway, so think it's fine solution/

049811dabd don't use a while loop when in compatible_eul(). this is a low level rotation function called in many places so better to avoid iterations.
checked this function against the previous method using random rotation inputs and compared results, while this isnt exactly the same the results are very close and acceptable in both cases, also checked baking actions that the resulting FCurves are good and give matching rotations.
