43ff755248 ok, switch selection modes are now qwe, with extrude moved to tkey and wkey moved to spacebar. after discussion on IRC, it's clear that for a true selection mode-aware system to work, we need hotkeys to very quickly switch between modes. so this was the result. 2009-06-18 10:44:16 +00:00

20a7d79929 the hideous alt-tab selectmode menu is gone, replaced by alt-1, alt-2, and alt-3. need to still make the 'inclusive' feature work somehow though. also fixed some bugs in the selectmode flushing code. 2009-06-18 10:15:23 +00:00

9dfb7c4cf0 Turned delkey->Dissolve Verts into delkey->Dissolve,
and made it sensitive to the selection mode.  Also 
coded dissolve edges, since that was missing.
Removed the old "Delete Edge Loop", since dissolve
edges pretty much replaces that :)

6bdbbf150d Ported over the delete key and fkey fully over
to bmesh.  Yay! Creating faces from edge nets
is sill missing, I'm leaving that for later.

I added two new bmop functions, BMO_HeaderFlag_Buffer
and BMO_UnHeaderFlag_Buffer, which are header flag
version of BMO_Flag_Buffer and BMO_Unflag_Buffer.
The new functions properly handle setting/clearing
BM_SELECT via the selection API.

80effa20b1 moved the active face pointer to BMesh, where I think it belongs. also made some fixes to the ccgsubsurf derivedmesh, and some general modifier bugfixes. note that modifiers are still rather buggy and crashy at the moment, heh :) also made some functions for converting Mesh flags to BMesh flags, and back. 2009-06-12 14:02:37 +00:00

First version of search-based ID browsing. Now only in use for the
top bar screen/scene browse. The python buttons will follow. 
Also made search button colors match the theme colors from menu back.

Todos for browse-search:
- "Add new" will disappear, and become a separate icon button in the
  row of widgets (like X, delete).
- Drawing the preview icons in menu
- Make search menu dynamic, with configurable number of items? And/or
  multi-collumn... for now it's static
- Search menu should popup with last active ID visible and selected

be286db322 (NOTE: DO NOT TEST)
Start of planned DerivedMesh refactoring.  The mface
interfaces in DerivedMesh have been renamed to reflect
their new status as tesselated face interfaces (rather 
then the primary ones, which are now stored in mpolys).

short review: mpolys store "primary" face data, while
mfaces store the tesselated form of the mesh (generally
as triangles).  mpolys are defined by mloops, and each
mpoly defines a range of loops it "owns" in the main
mloop array.

I've also added basic read-only face iterators, which
are implemented for CDDM, ccgsubsurf, and the bmeditmesh
derivedmesh.  Since faces are now variable-length things,
trying to implement the same interface as mfaces would not
have worked well (especially since faces are stored as
an mpoly + a range of mloops).

I figure first we can evaluate these simple read-only
face iterators, then decide if a) we like using iterators
in DerivedMesh, b) how much of it should use them, and c)
if we want write-capable iterators.

I plan to write official docs on this design after I get
it more stable; I'm committing now because there's a rather
lot of changes, and I might do a merge soon.

d36a1b4f06 added layout attribute for setting the operator execution context.
eg, layout.operator_context = 'INVOKE_REGION_WIN'

Needed to set the context that menu item operators are executed in.

fixed missing NULL check with anim system debug printing.

Small fixes:

- Preview render now accepts resize of 1 pixel without re-render,
  solves re-renders on scrolling window or dragging panel, because
  of float rounding.
- Panel dragging outline was off 0.5 pixel, showed as fat AA lines
- On switching tab, the preview gets re-rendered

Down with smart, up with simple!
I now use the widget polygon code to generate a mask quad strip, 
draw it over the image, and then the AA outline. Should work on
all systems.

Removed masking idea for preview draw, it appears Win32 && X11 windows
are 24 bits, not 32 bits with alpha. Not going to open that can of worm
to add this, will find a different masking method...

Preview renders:

- Added proper button type (BUT_EXTRA) for preview buttons, to
  handle drawing better. It now first draws an alpha mask, to 
  ensure the preview is correctly fitting inside the widget style.
  It then draws the outline.
- Added protection for executing preview renders while regular
  rendering, that's not going to work...

9d4ebe1088 2.5 - Time indicator label for time-codes now draws in SMPTE format
When an Animation Editor is showing timing in 'seconds' (instead of frames), the indicator label is now drawn with the same style of timecodes as the scrollbar labels are.

82501bbec5 Win GUI fix: Blender won't hide behind the taskbar anymore on startup (in non maximized mode). Until now, the bottom of Blender always got hidden behind the taskbar - verified to fix at least Win7 + XP

Attempt to make multires updating a little cleaner by
assuming that no update needs to be performed, and only
doing the update when the modified flag is set (either
by sculpting or using some other tool that needs an update.)
