1529710f44 Fix #136796: wm.radial_control with confirm on release missing update
`radial_control_modal` would only actually update the target property
(via `RNA_property_update`) for the "standard" ways of confirming
(`LEFTMOUSE`, `EVT_PADENTER`, `EVT_RETKEY`).

When using "release_confirm" however, that was skipped, so added the
`RNA_property_update` now.

a46643af0f Vulkan/OpenXR: Add support for VK_KHR_external_memory_fd
Current implementation uses a CPU roundtrip to transfer render result
to the Xr Swapchain. This PR adds support for sharing the render result
on Linux systems by using file descriptors.

To extend this solution to win32 or dx handles can be done by extending
the data transfer modes, register the correct extensions. When not
using the same GPU between Blender and OpenXR the CPU roundtrip
will still be used.

Solution has been validated with monado simulator and seems to be as
fast as OpenGL.

Performance can be improved by using GPU based synchronization.
Current API is limited as we cannot chain the different renders and
swapchains.

056fa85699 Fix #132196: UI: Camera gizmo cannot be shifted on Intel GPUs
GPU_DEPTH_NONE leads to issues with Intel GPU drivers on Windows
where camera gizmos cannot be shifted. glGetQueryObjectuiv for
GL_SAMPLES_PASSED seems to return zero in all cases.

This might be due to undefined behavior of OpenGL when the depth
test is disabled and rendering to a depth render target-only
framebuffer. Using GPU_DEPTH_ALWAYS fixes the issue.

78c0ca1efb Fix #136829: UI: Reset win->ime_data when creating system window.
`win->ime_data` could be non-null when it's read from a file, and
subsequent dependence of this value would crash on interface handlers.
Now always clear it when ghost window is ensured after reading the file.

The actual reset is put in `wm_window_ensure_eventstate`, since it's
also conceptually a part of "event state".

bcdcc3dbde Refactor: use enum types for event modifiers & types
Use enum types for event modifier and types,
`wmEventModifierFlag` & `wmEventType` respectively.

This helps with readability and avoids unintended mixing with other
types. To quiet GCC's `-Wswitch` warnings many `default` cases needed
to be added to switch statements on event types.

60f480f21f Fix #135982: Do Not Use Large Custom Cursors on MacOS
MacOS generally uses mouse cursors we specifically made for that
platform. But in some cases, like WM_CURSOR_WAIT, the OS does not have
an equivalent and we don't have a platform-specific one. So it then
uses of of our base custom cursors. This type of cursor is always
enlarged on Mac high-DPI displays like Retina. So no need to ever
supply larger versions of this type of cursor as it will just get
huge.

124c0f1692 OpenColorIO: Support using file rules to detect colorspace
The Blender config.ocio does not have any rules, but custom ones can.

The default file rule is ignored if default_byte or default_float roles
exist. These roles are Blender specific, so would not be found in a typical
OCIO config. But when they are set appropriately, they help provide better
default guesses than what is possible with standard OCIO rules.

3885a37541 Vulkan: Initial OpenXR support
The Blender's VkInstance cannot be shared with OpenXR VkInstance. The
reason is a chicken and egg problem where OpenXR needs to be started
before Vulkan. OpenXR can add special vulkan specific requirements
(instance&device) that are only available when the user starts an OpenXR
session.

The goal implementation is to share memory between both instances using
[VK_KHR_external_memory](https://registry.khronos.org/vulkan/specs/latest/man/html/VK_KHR_external_memory.html) and related extensions. However this seems
to be a bridge to far as a initial step. Reason: There are not that many
samples/ guides and documentation to be found to handle the workflow that
we require. We want to do a smaller step by step approach to gain the needed
knowledge.

For that reason this PR does the most stupidest thing that can be done to
share memory between instances. Download the render result to CPU RAM share
the host pointer with the OpenXR instance which copies it to the swap chain.
Also the synchronization is done using wait idle commands.

<video src="attachments/32a0d69b-c3fa-4272-aea0-d207609afaaf" title="Screencast From 2025-03-18 11-16-17.webm" controls></video>

**Gaining knowledge**

- Experiment with `VK_KHR_external_memory_host` extension for uploading vertex buffers (not related to OpenXR).
- Import host pointer with `VK_KHR_external_memory_host`. This reduces the additional
  memcpy on OpenXR side.
- Export host pointer from Blender side from a mappable buffer.
- Replace host pointers with fd/dmabuf/winhandle
- Remove mappable buffer.

7b5428bfa7 Cleanup: remove KM_{MOD}_ANY flags
Even though the doc-string notes that they're only used for
function parameters, it looks as if they might be used for
`wmEvent::modifier` and are exposed in a prominent location.

Remove the flags & replace them with a macro that bit-shifts the
existing modifier values which is more clearly intended to be used
with `KeyMapItem_Params`.

5e2b421996 WM: support the "Hyper" modifier key on Linux
Add support for a 5th modifier key called "hyper",
this is a modifier supported on Wayland & X11 although

Rename to be more consistent with other Blender keymaps, as well as the

Once #131102 goes through, if we would like to rename the "Sequencer"
view type to "Timeline" or "Sequencer Timeline," then we can make the
necessary changes here too.

10233e95dd Cleanup: use a typed enum for operator & gizmo callbacks
Callbacks: exec invoke & modal now use a typed enum wmOperatorStatus.

This helps avoid mistakes returning incompatible booleans or other

It also makes it more obvious functions in the WM API are intended
to be used to calculate return values for operator callbacks.

Operator enums have been moved into DNA_windowmanager_enums.h
so this can be used in other headers without loading other includes
indirectly.

No functional changes expected.

6c1c5e8923 Asset browser import settings popover with collection instancing option
Part of #134755 / #134766.

Adds options to the new Import Settings popover (added in 7a6beb65f4)
to toggle collection instancing for dragging in collections. It can be
toggled separately for linking and appending, since it's typical to use
instancing for linking, but not appending (current default, also with
this change).

Previously, toggling collection instancing was only possible via the
Adjust Last Operation panel but this wasn't obvious, many people were
not aware. Adding this option based on feedback by the Blender Studio.

bd06baf6e6 WM: rename WM_report* to WM_global_report*, note it's often bad practice
WM_report was originally added for special cases however new code

and so Python can catch the errors.

Rename the functions to make them less easily confused with BKE_report

015790964d Cleanup: WM: Replace 'void' MEM_[cm]allocN with templated, type-safe MEM_[cm]allocN<T>.
The main issue of 'type-less' standard C allocations is that there is no check on
allocated type possible.

This is a serious source of annoyance (and crashes) when making some
low-level structs non-trivial, as tracking down all usages of these
structs in higher-level other structs and their allocation is... really
painful.

MEM_[cm]allocN<T> templates on the other hand do check that the
given type is trivial, at build time (static assert), which makes such issue...
trivial to catch.

NOTE: New code should strive to use MEM_new (i.e. allocation and
construction) as much as possible, even for trivial PoD types.

dd168a35c5 Refactor: Replace MEM_cnew with a type-aware template version of MEM_callocN.
The general idea is to keep the 'old', C-style MEM_callocN signature, and slowly
replace most of its usages with the new, C++-style type-safer template version.

* `MEM_cnew<T>` allocation version is renamed to `MEM_callocN<T>`.
* `MEM_cnew_array<T>` allocation version is renamed to `MEM_calloc_arrayN<T>`.
* `MEM_cnew<T>` duplicate version is renamed to `MEM_dupallocN<T>`.

Similar templates type-safe version of `MEM_mallocN` will be added soon
as well.

Following discussions in !134452.

NOTE: For now static type checking in `MEM_callocN` and related are slightly
different for Windows MSVC. This compiler seems to consider structs using the
`DNA_DEFINE_CXX_METHODS` macro as non-trivial (likely because their default
copy constructors are deleted). So using checks on trivially
constructible/destructible instead on this compiler/system.
