4499fad40e UI: Horizontal list view for asset browser
Part of #134755 / #134766.

The asset browser currently lacks a compact view that leaves names
readable. Especially when managing asset libraries (e.g. to prepare it
for sharing or set up a production library), this is quite a usability
issue. A column view like the file browser has can solve this, allowing
a quick overview and fast browsing of libraries, while keeping names
readable.

Adds a new "Horizontal List" display mode to the asset browser that
distributes assets over multiple columns, with horizontal scrolling.
Asset previews are shown in this mode, plus an asset type icon if
there's enough space. The size of previews and the columns can be
configured next to the display mode, for optimizing the display.

1ca05d3940 UI: Fix double padding in file browser drawing
Paddings were applied a bit oddly, resulting in a double padding for the
drawing. Each "tile" (the space to draw the file in) already had a padding
applied (`FileLayout.tile_border_x`), we'd apply another one to it. This second
padding should only be used for spacing of individual items *inside* the tile.

Code makes more sense too now, there are fewer arbitrary/eyeballed numbers to
make things "look good".

5ba668135a Assets: Display file name and path in asset tooltips
Part of #134755 / #134766.

Add the blend file name and directory path to the tooltip of assets in
custom asset libraries (as configured in the Preferences), for the asset
browser and asset shelf. This information is often important when
dealing with production assets. In the asset shelf it wasn't available
at all.

Based on feedback from the Blender Studio.

bd06baf6e6 WM: rename WM_report* to WM_global_report*, note it's often bad practice
WM_report was originally added for special cases however new code
has been using this in operators for example, where reports should be
sent to the operator via BKE_report, so the caller can handle,
and so Python can catch the errors.

Rename the functions to make them less easily confused with BKE_report
and add a code-comment on why their use should be avoided.

dd168a35c5 Refactor: Replace MEM_cnew with a type-aware template version of MEM_callocN.
The general idea is to keep the 'old', C-style MEM_callocN signature, and slowly
replace most of its usages with the new, C++-style type-safer template version.

* `MEM_cnew<T>` allocation version is renamed to `MEM_callocN<T>`.
* `MEM_cnew_array<T>` allocation version is renamed to `MEM_calloc_arrayN<T>`.
* `MEM_cnew<T>` duplicate version is renamed to `MEM_dupallocN<T>`.

Similar templates type-safe version of `MEM_mallocN` will be added soon
as well.

Following discussions in !134452.

NOTE: For now static type checking in `MEM_callocN` and related are slightly
different for Windows MSVC. This compiler seems to consider structs using the
`DNA_DEFINE_CXX_METHODS` macro as non-trivial (likely because their default
copy constructors are deleted). So using checks on trivially
constructible/destructible instead on this compiler/system.

0ee642611c UI: Add Specific Icon to Represent Preview While Loading
Rather than continuing to use ICON_TEMP, meant to represent temporary
locations, this PR adds a specific one - ICON_PREVIEW_LOADING - for
this purpose. Just a copy of ICON_TEMP for now, but with all parts at
40% opacity, matching how we use it now. Not only gives us an icon we
can later change, but also removes our special handling of reducing
opacity for one icon id.

7e99e575a4 Fix: Fix most cases of asset browser preview flickering on undo/redo
Mitigates #93726.

With this asset previews will no longer flicker in the asset browser
on actions like undo, redo or when using "Adjust Last Operation" if
the asset library doesn't contain assets from the current file.

Previews of assets from the current file would have to be cleared on
undo & redo, because their memory location can change then. However the
file browser's data model didn't allow clearing just these previews, so
previews from external assets would have to be reloaded from disk too,
causing the flickering.

Noticed we can trivially skip clearing of previews if there are no
assets from the current file anyway. This mitigates the issue quite a
bit until preview handling is rewritten, see #122439.

d0f5f3bd58 Fix #131307: Assert when creating a new brush asset
Adding a new asset will tag asset browsers to clear and reload the
assets from the current file. Since a859ed1130, such changes will also
clear all asset browsers showing the affected asset libraries. So the
clearing of current file assets would happen on an already cleared
asset/file list. This case wasn't considered before, so it would lead to
a failed but harmless assert. Handle this case properly.

9122f18393 Fix #135186: Asset browser empty after saving pose asset
Since a859ed1130, changes like adding an asset will cause all visible
asset browsers showing the affected asset library to be cleared. This
should cause the asset browser to trigger a re-load of the asset
libraries, but a logic error made only assets from the current file be
loaded instead of the full library.

d0a6189b50 Refactor: DRW: Centralize and clean up packed normals conversion
Move the code dealing with converting float3 to GPU normals
out of the vertex format header into a separate header. Use a
proper C++ namespace and remove duplication by only using
the more recently added C++ templated conversions.

Most of the diff comes from the removal of the indirect includes
from GPU_vertex_format.hh. A lot of files ended up mistakenly
depending on that.

48e26c3afe MEM_guardedalloc: Refactor to add more type-safety.
The main goal of these changes are to improve static (i.e. build-time)
checks on whether a given data can be allocated and freed with `malloc`
and `free` (C-style), or requires proper C++-style construction and
destruction (`new` and `delete`).

* Add new `MEM_malloc_arrayN_aligned` API.
* Make `MEM_freeN` a template function in C++, which does static assert on
  type triviality.
* Add `MEM_SAFE_DELETE`, similar to `MEM_SAFE_FREE` but calling
  `MEM_delete`.

The changes to `MEM_freeN` was painful and useful, as it allowed to fix a bunch
of invalid calls in existing codebase already.

It also highlighted a fair amount of places where it is called to free incomplete
type pointers, which is likely a sign of badly designed code (there should
rather be an API to destroy and free these data then, if the data type is not fully
publicly exposed). For now, these are 'worked around' by explicitly casting the
freed pointers to `void *` in these cases - which also makes them easy to search for.
Some of these will be addressed separately (see blender/blender!134765).

Finally, MSVC seems to consider structs defining new/delete operators (e.g. by
using the `MEM_CXX_CLASS_ALLOC_FUNCS` macro) as non-trivial. This does not
seem to follow the definition of type triviality, so for now static type checking in
`MEM_freeN` has been disabled for Windows. We'll likely have to do the same
with type-safe `MEM_[cm]allocN` API being worked on in blender/blender!134771

fa4026f2bf Revert "Fix #130372: Implements memory of the previous state of eSpace_Types."
This reverts commit afec64739a.

The commit introduces a regression where opening the Asset Browser opens

blender/blender#134630.
blender/blender!134642 proposes a different solution and reverts this,
which I prefer too. Better to the revert separately from trying a
different fix for the initial bug, makes reviewing easier too.

7acd7e1246 UI: Rewrite asset shelf preview loading
- Fixes preview flickering on actions like undo/redo in the asset shelf (#93726), not yet for the
  file browser.
- Fixes #130861.

Makes the asset shelf use the asynchronous preview loading system of the UI instead of the file
browser one. The issues above where mostly caused by the file browser caching design.

The asset system and its UIs can now manage previews independently of the file browser back-end.
This is another step towards making the asset system independent of the file browser, see
https://developer.blender.org/docs/features/asset_system/fundamentals/from_file_browser_to_asset_system/.
Code to query asset previews through file browser types is removed.

Quite some work was done to prepare the UI preview system for this, to make it on par with the file
browser preview system. E.g.: 9d83061ed4, 315e7e04a8, 5055adc1c0, 16ab6111f7.

Note that the same change should be done to the asset/file browser, but this requires more work.

f5b1a4625d UI: Allow drawing icons as drag previews, use for dragging assets
Instead of requiring an image buffer to draw a bigger preview image
while dragging, allow passing an icon ID and draw that as preview. This
is also how we draw previews elsewhere. Use this for attaching the asset
previews to draggable buttons.

A small user visible change is that previews from the asset browser will
always draw at the default size (multiplied by the interface scale)
while dragging. Previously it used the same size as the asset browser
preview size, which I don't think was useful really. With small sizes
the preview while dragging got unnecessarily small too, with big sizes
it got in the way.

920e709069 Refactor: Make header files more clangd and clang-tidy friendly
When using clangd or running clang-tidy on headers there are
currently many errors. These are noisy in IDEs, make auto fixes
impossible, and break features like code completion, refactoring
and navigation.

This makes source/blender headers work by themselves, which is
generally the goal anyway. But #includes and forward declarations
were often incomplete.

* Add #includes and forward declarations
* Add IWYU pragma: export in a few places
* Remove some unused #includes (but there are many more)
* Tweak ShaderCreateInfo macros to work better with clangd

Some types of headers still have errors, these could be fixed or
worked around with more investigation. Mostly preprocessor
template headers like NOD_static_types.h.

Note that that disabling WITH_UNITY_BUILD is required for clangd to
work properly, otherwise compile_commands.json does not contain
the information for the relevant source files.

For more details see the developer docs:

ultimately just converting returned value into a float. So make
MOV_get_fps just return that directly. For the (exactly just one)

974efe7d23 Refactor: move ffmpeg/video related code into one place
Previously, code related to reading/writing movie files via ffmpeg was
scattered around: some under blenkernel, some directly in generic
imbuf headers, some under intern/ffmpeg. Some of the files were named
with not exactly clear names. Some parts not directly related to movies
were including ffmpeg headers directly (rna_scene.cc).

What is in this PR:

Movie and ffmpeg related code is now under imbuf/movie:
- IMB_anim.hh: movie reading, proxy querying, various utility functions.
- IMB_movie_enums.hh: simple enum definitions,
- IMB_movie_write.hh: movie writing functions.
- intern: actual implementation and private headers.
    - ffmpeg_compat.h: various ffmpeg version difference handling
      utilities,
    - ffmpeg_swscale.hh/cc: scaling and format conversion utilities
      for ffmpeg libswscale,
    - ffmpeg_util.hh/cc: misc utilities related to ffmpeg,
    - movie_proxy_indexer.hh/cc: proxies and timecode indexing for movies,
    - movie_read.hh/cc: decoding of movies into images,
    - movie_write.cc: encoding of images into movies.
- tests: basic ffmpeg library unit tests that previously
  lived under intern/ffmpeg.

Interface changes (at C++ level, no Python API changes):
- Mostly just movie related functions that were BKE_ previously, are now IMB_.
- I did one large-ish change though, and that is to remove bMovieHandle
struct that had pointers to several functions. Now that is
  IMB_movie_write_begin, IMB_movie_write_append, IMB_movie_write_end
functions using a single opaque struct handle. As a result, usages
of that in pipeline.cc and render_opengl.cc have changed.

9e1f02dd4d Refactor: File Browser: Extract folder/file "special icon" drawing
As mentioned in cd13f52e75, e072853e63, fb6ac24514 and 9a6beb915d,
`file_draw_preview()` is a rather overloaded and confusing function. I'm
trying to make it more readable.

With the previous changes and all the other logic extracted, it's pretty clear
that the "special icon" drwaing (for the larger folder/file icon with the
folder/file type icon overlayed) also should be split off. Most remaining logic
in `file_draw_preview()` was either for the special icons or normal previews,
but not much code was shared within the function.

Tried to not cause user visible changes. There's a few pixel change in the
horizontal icon placement, but that's because it's centered properly now.
Previously it was just eyeballed I guess.

58a81b5a6a Fix: File Browser: Preview loading icon not centered and too large
Until cd13f52e75, the loading icon drawing used to share most of the code for
drawing the "special image", so changes to those unintentionally changed to
loading icon too, e.g. in 1d47e3276b.

Make the loading icon centered where the preview would be, and reduce the size
back to what it was before 1d47e3276b.

This removes the hardcoded values that were temporarily added in cd13f52e75 to
avoid user visible changes.

cd13f52e75 Refactor: File Browser: Extract preview loading icon drawing
As mentioned in e072853e63, fb6ac24514 and 9a6beb915d,
`file_draw_preview()` is a rather overloaded and confusing function. I'm
trying to make it more readable.

This splits off the drawing for the loading icon displayed while the
previews are pending/loading still, removing the loading case handling
from `file_draw_preview()`. There was also some implicit logic here:
While loading previews we'd always pass a "special image" to the preview
drawing, so the `is_special_file_image` boolean would always be true.
This is untangled too now, so code paths are more explicit/clear.

`file_add_preview_drag_but()` can't access data returned by
`file_draw_preview()` anymore (it may not be called), so I made it
independent which is an improvement too.

While working on this I noticed the loading icon isn't centered
correctly. For now I made sure the position remains the same, I'll fix
the positioning in a followup.

e072853e63 Refactor: File Browser: Split off indicator icon drawing
As mentioned in fb6ac24514 and 9a6beb915d, `file_draw_preview()` is a
rather overloaded and confusing function. I'm trying to make it more
readable.

Split out file indicator icon drawing from the preview drawing function,
there's not much reason for it to be there as well. I rather keep
functions a bit simpler and more manageable.

Also added some comments and tried to make logic a bit more clear.
