The builtin asset catalog paths weren't properly updated after more
nesting was added to the geometry nodes add menu. This commit
resolves that and a few other issues extending menus like nested
menus in mesh edit mode. Unfortunately this requires some boilerplate
code duplicating the menu structure currently.
Node tools are no longer required to be assets, and they aren't assets
by default anymore. Non-assets don't have catalogs for header menu
organization, so they are only exposed in the "Unassigned" menu, which
is now just an icon so it takes less spac, makes the connection to the
asset browser, and signals more that it's not the "final" place for a
tool. Tool node groups have fake user set by default, since they don't
have users. The "Is Tool" status of a node group is configurable in the
editor N-panel, just like the modifier status.
This is similar to af3461c387, and has the same check for
whether a node group is "local."
Since the menus are defined in the header region, but the keymap is part
of the 3D view window region, we need to specify that when creating the
operator buttons.
After discussion with module members, it was agreed that "Unassigned"
was better because the word is already used in the asset browser, and
because it sounds more natural.

Remove the requirement of restarting Blender to refresh the
extended 3D view menus for node group changes. Also avoid
rebuilding the tree of relevant assets and catalogs on every
redraw, since parsing asset libraries, etc. could become more
expensive than we want. Those two goals combined mean we
have to be more rigorous in how we invalidate the cached
catalog tree.
The first main change required is to clear the tree as asset libraries
are being read, similar to other dynamic asset menus. This is done
with a 3D view header listener rather than a menu listener in this case.
However, that isn't enough, because there is an issue with the asset
system where the "all" library isn't updated when the current file library
changes. The solution is to explicitly rebuild the "all" library's catalogs
when other asset libraries are changed.
The other necessity for dynamic updates is clearing the catalog tree
to be rebuilt when the node group "asset traits" are changed. This is
done with a new notifier type (with the goal of being a bit selective
about when we re-read assets). This _also_ requires running the
"presave" callback that builds asset metadata when updating the
property. Otherwise saving the file and sending the notifier is
necessary, which is too confusing.

In the add modifier menu, 3D viewport menus for node tools, and the node
editor add menu, assets not in catalogs are added to an "No Catalog"
menu rather than not being accessible at all.
This makes the default behavior when adding a node tool "not broken"
so at least something happens by default. The question of "How do I
add a catalog?" is much better than "Why didn't anything happen?"

Calling an API function after the node panels patch does not internally
tag the node tree with `NTREE_CHANGED_INTERFACE` any more, because the
node tree is not directly accessible from `bNodeTreeInterface`. Before
node panels the API functions for interfaces could tag the tree directly
for later update consideration, which now requires explicit tagging
calls.
The fix is to add a flag and mutex directly to `bNodeTreeInterface`, so
API methods can tag after updates. This mostly copies runtime data
concepts from `bNodeTree`. The `ensure_interface_cache` method is
equivalent to `ensure_topology_cache` and should be called before
accessing `interface_inputs` and similar cache data.

In this case it didn't cause any problems however macros with a
BEGIN/END must always run both, not optionally run based on knowledge
of the iterator implementation cleanup requirement.
The operator system assumes that the `ot->ui` callback means
there will always be a redo panel. This situation where there is a
callback but sometimes no inputs hasn't been encountered before.
Resolve that by changing `WM_operator_check_ui_empty` into
a `WM_operator_ui_poll` that handles this case properly, with
a new operator type callback called `ui_poll`.

There are a couple of functions that create rna pointers. For example
`RNA_main_pointer_create` and `RNA_pointer_create`. Currently, those
take an output parameter `r_ptr` as last argument. This patch changes
it so that the functions actually return a` PointerRNA` instead of using
the output parameters.
This has a few benefits:
* Output parameters should only be used when there is an actual benefit.
Otherwise, one should default to returning the value.
* It's simpler to use the API in the large majority of cases (note that this
patch reduces the number of lines of code).
* It allows the `PointerRNA` to be const on the call-site, if that is desired.
No performance regression has been measured in production files.
If one of these functions happened to be called in a hot loop where
there is a regression, the solution should be to use an inline function
there which allows the compiler to optimize it even better.

Implements part of #111538.
Change the modifier add button to create a menu with submenus.
Extend the submenus dynamically with geometry node group assets.
This makes it much simpler to share and use custom modifiers.
Node groups get a new "Is Modifier" property, which is controllable
in a popover in the node editor header when the group is an asset.
The built in modifier can be rearranged in different categories in
a next step. For now the existing organization is used, except for
the geometry nodes modifier, which is called "Empty Modifier" and
put in the root menu.
The changes in !110855 and !110828 will be important to improve
interaction speed with the new UI. Those are planned for 4.0 as well.

The hash tables and vector blenlib headers were pulling many more
headers than they actually need, including the C base math header,
our C string API header, and the StringRef header. All of this
potentially slows down compilation and polutes autocomplete
with unrelated information.
Also remove the `ListBase` constructor for `Vector`. It wasn't used
much, and making it easy to use `ListBase` isn't worth it for the
same reasons mentioned above.
It turns out a lot of files depended on indirect includes of
`BLI_string.h` and `BLI_listbase.h`, so those are fixed here.

The node add menu contains assets. The position of an asset in the menu
is determined by the catalog it's in. Submenus are generated automatically.
This works by having a context dependent menu (`NODE_MT_node_add_catalog_assets`).
The current catalog path is passed in as context. If the menu has submenus,
the sub-catalog paths are passed as context into those.
This generally works fine when using the menu. However, menu-search (F3)
does not support context dependent menus yet, so those menu entries are
just skipped. With this patch, the previously skipped context dependent menu
entries are also taken into account.
Note, when opening the search directly after opening Blender, the assets might
still be loading and therefor don't show up in the search.

Part 3/3 of #109135, #110272
Switch to new node group interfaces and deprecate old DNA and API.
This completes support for panels in node drawing and in node group
interface declarations in particular.
The new node group interface DNA and RNA code has been added in parts
1 and 2 (#110885, #110952) but has not be enabled yet. This commit
completes the integration by
* enabling the new RNA API
* using the new API in UI
* read/write new interfaces from blend files
* add versioning for backward compatibility
* add forward-compatible writing code to reconstruct old interfaces
All places accessing node group interface declarations should now be
using the new API. A runtime cache has been added that allows simple
linear access to socket inputs and outputs even when a panel hierarchy
is used.
Old DNA has been deprecated and should only be accessed for versioning
(inputs/outputs renamed to inputs_legacy/outputs_legacy to catch
errors). Versioning code ensures both backward and forward
compatibility of existing files.
The API for old interfaces is removed. The new API is very similar but
is defined on the `ntree.interface` instead of the `ntree` directly.
Breaking change notifications and detailed instructions for migrating
will be added.
A python test has been added for the node group API functions. This
includes new functionality such as creating panels and moving items
between different levels.
This patch does not yet contain panel representations in the modifier
UI. This has been tested in a separate branch and will be added with a
later PR (#108565).

Although I don't like the idea of using owning raw pointers in new APIs
like this (violates fundamental C++ good practises), this type is mostly
meant for writing to files via DNA. So we have to use Blender's memory
management via the guarded allocator here.
Considered making this an alternative function, but then we'd have to
duplicate logif or duplicate memory or so. Not worth it to me.
Listing the "Blender Foundation" as copyright holder implied the Blender
Foundation holds copyright to files which may include work from many
developers.
While keeping copyright on headers makes sense for isolated libraries,
Blender's own code may be refactored or moved between files in a way
that makes the per file copyright holders less meaningful.
Copyright references to the "Blender Foundation" have been replaced with
"Blender Authors", with the exception of `./extern/` since these this
contains libraries which are more isolated, any changed to license
headers there can be handled on a case-by-case basis.
Some directories in `./intern/` have also been excluded:
- `./intern/cycles/` it's own `AUTHORS` file is planned.
- `./intern/opensubdiv/`.
An "AUTHORS" file has been added, using the chromium projects authors
file as a template.

Ref !110783.
With the end goal of simplifying ownership and memory management,
and allowing the use of `get_name` in contexts without statically
allocated strings, use `std::string` for the return values of these two
operator type callbacks instead of `const char *` and `char *`.
In the meantime things get uglier in some places. I'd expect `std::string`
to be used more in the future elsewhere in Blender though.

Add three new nodes for operations and inputs specific to
node group operators.
- **Selection** Whether elements are selected in the viewport
- **Set Selection** Sets the edit/sculpt selection, on the point,
face, or curve domains
- **3D Cursor** Gives the location and rotation of the 3D cursor,
in the local space of the modified object.
- **Face Set** The face set value from mesh sculpt mode,
and whether the attribute exists.
- **Set Face Set** Set sculpt face set values.
In the add menu and search, the nodes are only visible in the
"Tool" context of the geometry node editor. They also give
errors when executed by a modifier.

Add support in the UI for the edit mode of curves, mesh, and point
cloud objects. It's possible to control for which mode sand object
types the asset is available with a dropdown in the node header.
To make this per-mode filtering possible, the static asset tree
cache is now unique per context mode.

Show node group inputs in the redo panel, including the
"use attribute" toggle. There are a few limitations that will
be solved separately:
- The redo panel is _always_ drawn, there is no way to show it conditionally yet
- There is no way to add the operator name to the redo panel title yet
- Attribute search is still missing for attribute inputs
Pull Request: https://projects.blender.org/blender/blender/pulls/109975
Remove the "_for_read" suffix from methods to get geometry and geometry
components. That should be considered the default, so the suffix just
adds unnecessary text. This is consistent with the attribute API and
various implicit sharing data access methods.
Use "from_mesh" instead of "create_with_mesh". This is consistent with
the recently used naming for the `IndexMask` API.
Pull Request: https://projects.blender.org/blender/blender/pulls/110738
In order to more reliably pass the asset to the operator, use a string
property with the full asset path instead of using a context pointer.
This is required to support the quick favorites menu, shortcuts, and
to draw operator inputs in the redo panel. In all of those situations
the original context isn't available. This also feels safer, since we
rely less on storing pointers to data with a less-defined lifetime.

The asset import method option was added after the additions that use
assets in the node editor, so the node editor features still always used
append and reuse, no matter the import method.
This commit improves the asset import function to use the asset's
import method, with "Append & Reuse" as a default.

This isn't really helpful at this point, and is ugly/distracting when
starting Blender. It's not that bad if more menus show up with a
bit of a delay anyway.
This PR adds a new operator to run a node group on object geometry.
Only curves sculpt mode is supported for now, to simplify the design.
A new geometry node editor context to edit operator groups is also
added. This allows changing any node group, rather than only node
groups that are part of the active modifier context.
3D viewport menus are added with any geometry node group
asset in a catalog that contains the `Operator` tag. Currently Blender
must be restarted to refresh the list of available operators.
This is only the first phase of the node group operator feature.
Many more features will be added in next steps.
