9cade06f5f Refactor: Nodes: Use Map instead of GHash for compositor previews
Replace `bNodeInstanceHash` with a `Map`. Move it to the node tree
runtime data. Simplify some code by removing the tag from the hash
value and collecting unused previews directly. Then just remove a
bunch of code that's now unused.

Note that texture node previews haven't been working for a while
anyway, and the experimental shader node previews seem to use
a different system (this one is a remnant of Blender Internal).

119fc054f8 Cleanup: BKE: Nodes: Pass-by-reference
Restriction of the nodes api to clearly define never-null function arguments.
Side effects: some assertions and null-check (with early return) were removed.
On the caller side is ensured to never derefer null to pass argument (mainly in RNA).
In addition, one pointer argument now actually a return type.

By-reference return types instead of pointers going to be separate kind of
change since also imply of cleaning up variables created from reference.

Also good future improvement would be to mark a copy-constructor as
explicit for DNA node types.

987003d456 Nodes: replace some node checks with accessor method calls
This uses the following accessor methods in more places in more places:
`is_group()`, `is_group_input()`, `is_group_output()`, `is_muted()`,
`is_frame()` and `is_reroute()`.

This results in simpler code and reduces the use of `bNode.type_legacy`.

038159e96b Refactor: Nodes: improve node tree update API
Main goals of this refactor:
* Make it more obvious which update function should be used.
* Make it more obvious which parameters are required by using references instead
  of pointers.
* Support passing in multiple modified trees instead of just a single one.

No functional changes are expected.

971c96a92c Nodes: rename integer type of nodes to type_legacy
The new description for `bNode.type_legacy`:
```
  /**
   * Legacy integer type for nodes. It does not uniquely identify a node type, only the `idname`
   * does that. For example, all custom nodes use #NODE_CUSTOM but do have different idnames.
   * This is mainly kept for compatibility reasons.
   *
   * Currently, this type is also used in many parts of Blender, but that should slowly be phased
   * out by either relying on idnames, accessor methods like `node.is_reroute()`.
   *
   * A main benefit of this integer type over using idnames currently is that integer comparison is
   * much cheaper than string comparison, especially if many idnames have the same prefix (e.g.
   * "GeometryNode"). Eventually, we could introduce cheap-to-compare runtime identifier for node
   * types. That could mean e.g. using `ustring` for idnames (where string comparison is just
   * pointer comparison), or using a run-time generated integer that is automatically assigned when
   * node types are registered.
   */
```

a80bb83bff Fix: memory leak with muted group nodes in localized shader node trees
The leak happens when there is a muted group node in a shader node tree which is
rendered. For rendering, the drawing code "localizes" the node tree which also
means duplicating the node groups used by each group node (might even duplicate
the same group more than once if it's used by multiple nodes). Generally, this
works fine, because all of these duplicates are freed when the tree is
flattened.

However, there is a preprocessing step which deletes all muted nodes from the
tree. This code path did not free the groups recursively.

6ccb33e9fe Shader: Add Metallic BSDF Node
Add Metallic BSDF Node to the shader editor.

This node can primarily be used to create more realistic looking
metallic materials than the existing Glossy BSDF node.

This commit does not add any new closures to Cycles, it simply exposes
existing closures that were previous hard to access on their own.

- Exposes the F82 fresnel type that is currently used by the
metallic component of the Principled BSDF. Results should match
between the Metallic BSDF and Principled BSDF when using the same
settings.
- Exposes the Physical Conductor fresnel type that was previously
limited to custom OSL scripts. The Conductor fresnel type accepts
IOR and Extinction coefficients to define the appearance of the
material based off real life measurements.

EEVEE only supports the F82 fresnel type with internal code to convert
the the physical conductor inputs in to a colour format for F82,
which can lead to noticeable rendering differences with
some configurations.

7e8fd2cc2c Fix: GPU: Fix closure evaluation order
EEVEE-Next can only store data for a single (global) closure at a time,
which, when combined with ShaderToRGB nodes, requires extra care in the
order that closures are evaluated.
For example:
![image](/attachments/0c56613f-3515-40a2-bf0e-282a8a99d64e)
Here, after `ntree_shader_shader_to_rgba_branch` there will be 2 Diffuse
nodes (the original and a copy for the ShaderToRGB branch).
However, the generated code order will be something like this:
```
Diffuse (original)
Diffuse (copy)
ShaderToRGB // This resets closures
Mix
```
So while the original node is technically "evaluated", the closure data
is reset after ShaderToRGB.
This patch updates the code generation to ensure closure evaluation is
ordered taking ShaderToRGB branches into account, so the generated code
looks like this:
```
Diffuse (copy)
ShaderToRGB // This resets closures
Diffuse (original)
Mix
```
This also fixes ShaderToRGB support for AOVs, removes unused code, and
fixes several bugs that I've found along the way that were harmless for
EEVEE but broke EEVEE Next.

fa34992def Cleanup: Remove unnecessary includes from C++ data structure headers
The hash tables and vector blenlib headers were pulling many more
headers than they actually need, including the C base math header,
our C string API header, and the StringRef header. All of this
potentially slows down compilation and polutes autocomplete
with unrelated information.

Also remove the `ListBase` constructor for `Vector`. It wasn't used
much, and making it easy to use `ListBase` isn't worth it for the
same reasons mentioned above.

It turns out a lot of files depended on indirect includes of
`BLI_string.h` and `BLI_listbase.h`, so those are fixed here.

e955c94ed3 License Headers: Set copyright to "Blender Authors", add AUTHORS
Listing the "Blender Foundation" as copyright holder implied the Blender
Foundation holds copyright to files which may include work from many
developers.

While keeping copyright on headers makes sense for isolated libraries,
Blender's own code may be refactored or moved between files in a way
that makes the per file copyright holders less meaningful.

Copyright references to the "Blender Foundation" have been replaced with
"Blender Authors", with the exception of `./extern/` since these this
contains libraries which are more isolated, any changed to license
headers there can be handled on a case-by-case basis.

Some directories in `./intern/` have also been excluded:

- `./intern/cycles/` it's own `AUTHORS` file is planned.
- `./intern/opensubdiv/`.

An "AUTHORS" file has been added, using the chromium projects authors
file as a template.

c1bc70b711 Cleanup: Add a copyright notice to files and use SPDX format
A lot of files were missing copyright field in the header and
the Blender Foundation contributed to them in a sense of bug
fixing and general maintenance.

This change makes it explicit that those files are at least
partially copyrighted by the Blender Foundation.

Note that this does not make it so the Blender Foundation is
the only holder of the copyright in those files, and developers
who do not have a signed contract with the foundation still
hold the copyright as well.

Another aspect of this change is using SPDX format for the
header. We already used it for the license specification,
and now we state it for the copyright as well, following the
FAQ:

8cde7d8f8a Cycles: Merge Anisotropic BSDF node into Glossy BSDF node
Used to be https://archive.blender.org/developer/D17123.

Internally these are already using the same code path anyways, there's no point in maintaining two distinct nodes.

The obvious approach would be to add Anisotropy controls to the Glossy BSDF node and remove the Anisotropic BSDF node. However, that would break forward compability, since older Blender versions don't know how to handle the Anisotropy input on the Glossy BSDF node.

Therefore, this commit technically removes the Glossy BSDF node, uses versioning to replace them with an Anisotropic BSDF node, and renames that node to "Glossy BSDF".

That way, when you open a new file in an older version, all the nodes show up as Anisotropic BSDF nodes and render correctly.

This is a bit ugly internally since we need to preserve the old `idname` which now no longer matches the UI name, but that's not too bad.

Also removes the "Sharp" distribution option and replaces it with GGX, sets Roughness to zero and disconnects any input to the Roughness socket.

a12a8a71bb Remove "All Rights Reserved" from Blender Foundation copyright code
The goal is to solve confusion of the "All rights reserved" for licensing
code under an open-source license.

The phrase "All rights reserved" comes from a historical convention that
required this phrase for the copyright protection to apply. This convention
is no longer relevant.

However, even though the phrase has no meaning in establishing the copyright
it has not lost meaning in terms of licensing.

This change makes it so code under the Blender Foundation copyright does
not use "all rights reserved". This is also how the GPL license itself
states how to apply it to the source code:

    <one line to give the program's name and a brief idea of what it does.>
    Copyright (C) <year>  <name of author>

    This program is free software ...

This change does not change copyright notice in cases when the copyright
is dual (BF and an author), or just an author of the code. It also does
mot change copyright which is inherited from NaN Holding BV as it needs
some further investigation about what is the proper way to handle it.
